The series lost its charm for me with the death of Ma Pi. I enjoyed it as a lighthearted drama but it turned too dark. Also got very tired of how much screentime is given to Oh Mi Ran. Writers, don't write a sympathetic character with great character development if you're gonna kill him off. My rating went from 8.5 to 7.5. Going to watch the last episode but not going to recommend this to anyone.

To say The Red Sleeve is makjang and not a sageuk is a blatant lie. No compliments from me for lying. If it's your thing, so be it.

His dramas are mostly not romance dramas. I think you confuse him with someone else.

Very good comment. The Red Sleeve is a historical drama, based on real characters and documented facts. The Queen's Umbrella is pure fiction. Anyone can uplift their biases with these kinds genre (mis)interpretation and country mixes (mixes never work imo)

The Red Sleeve isn't a melodrama, it's historical and based on real history. I suppose history is melodramatic.

This is entertaining but don't expect much depth. I watched without bigger expectations and really enjoyed it. Jun Ji Jyun is such a comedy & acting talent, I wish we could see more of her. Don't kill me bc I find LMH's acting just so-so. In romantic scenes, his eyes remain cold and he almost looks angry and not lovey-dovey at all. Not very different from how he was with Kim Go Eun in King: the Eternal Monarch.

She's a comedy genius, I hope she will return to the genre, Jirisan was such a waste of her talent

Really worth watching. The start is heavy but it turns out to be very positive and optimistic. It's not actually a school drama or about bullying (I've seen too many of those). It's about 3 people who have to find a new direction in life and who succeed through learning to trust and support each other.

I strongly recommend it, it's for one of the best dramas ever.
