what a parade of psychos. Second written-on-demand piece by the writer who has some true masterpieces under her belt. Who paid for the the writer's name, we can't know. Merely guesssing (well, it's obvious who has the money). Some tips are dropped as to the whole process in ep 2. True journos who'd dig into the production do not exist. But actors, be aware and avoid these kinds of productions like plague!

This drama has some good parts, mainly those situated in Joseon. But I ended skipping maybe 70 % of it all. The side plots about the papermaking, the kids schooling issues, and all of the modern day parts, were boring. FL was written as overly saintly, ML was moreinteresting but the whole thing didin't really make me sympathize with the characters.

Man to Man is one of my all time favorites so def going to watch!

A drama about the meaning and importance of literacy is not something you come across every day. Hands down this is one of the very best k-dramas of all times. Full of wisdom and food for thought. The really magnificent thing is that it's all up to us to make the conclusions and reflections about the themes and philosophies. It's difficult to write about a drama so important but I'll share just a few things. Ideally, watch Six Flying Dragons before Tree With Deep Roots. TWDP is a continuation to SFD. Most importantly, you'll interpret the deeds and actions of the anti-king secret society supposedly following the teachings of Sam Bong, Jeong Do-yeon, differently. Sam Bong is the key figure in SFD. Garion is much less a follower of the teachings of Jeong Do-yeon than the King. Both dramas show a tragic collusions between people who believe they're doing their best for the society and the people. Han Seok Kyu is unforgettable as the king and Jang Huyk's characters' development is also deeply meaningful.

all I can say is: it's funny. Relatively silly and superficial. Much better school dramas out there, like Extraordinary You or School 2017. 7/10.

It's an opportunity to reflect on business values. Serious historical background is what I personally found to be the attraction of the drama. To me it doesn't matter whether there are plot holes or not, not in the way it matters in crime and detective dramas. The key is what they said about all problems stemming from management and corporational culture.

I didn't have any problems with the ending. Maybe because it's first and foremost a historical drama for me, I wasn't very attached to the characters. The twists and turns and the way Do Jun outwitted his rivals. The way Do Jun tried to renew the corporation and amend the wrongdoings.
