I liked the first 2 episodes. But why keep this from airing so long and then leave the ending open. Just 2 episodes…
- why did Gi Hun keep the prize money in his basement (likely to get stolen) instead of using it to save lives? He could have given it anonymously for those in need or a children's hospital. That would have been the best redemption for those who died in the game.
- As Gi Hun wanted to save lives, getting soldiers and fellow competitors shot was not really logical. He could have shot down the money and the killing would have been avoided.
- Gi Hun didn't tell the competitors that when teaming up they would also die as teams.
- The best way for this to end would have been that In Ho would have turned around and stopped the game. Since he got to know his fellow competitors as humans and not just characters in screen.
- why did the players not discuss the possibility that the organizers could never let them get out alive bc that would make the game become public knowledge.
- if S2 had been more about moral and philosophy and less about bloodbathing that would have been great for the reputation of k-drama. Since this is likely what most people not familiar with kdramaworld would still watch.
I liked the first 2 episodes. But why keep this from airing so long and then leave the ending open. Just 2 episodes more would have been enough to wrap it all up. Lee Jung Jae and Lee Byung Hun are such epic actors that I watched mainly for their sake. But the plot holes were immense. 7.5./10
Lol. It's not a cameo appearance, her role is central. And we've already seen a lot of her in the first 2 episodes. It's ridiculous that lo_ve asks these questions when it can't be bothered with user comments. Just spins out copies of soompi articles without any effort of its own.
K-movies don't have the extraordinary qualities that k-dramas have. Many of these like Following, Badland Hunters, Mission Cross, Hijack 1971, Wonderland, were watchable but forgettable. Oftentimes KBS Drama Specials are more fresh and interesting. With small budgets comes the freedom to experiment more. The best drama specials show how a full memorable story with great depth can be told in 1.5 hours. From this year's KBS drama specials (5 so far) History of Us was a 10/10, great writing wih a deep message. Find Handsome was cute and entertaining, no forced humour there.
The news is that Lee Junho has paid all his taxes. But MDL wants to tarnish the reputation of our beloved actor. lo_ve should change his/her name to de_vil bc this black soul sure doesn't in any way support our actors or dramas. Predatory gossipers should be haunted by what happened to Lee Sun Kyun.
The other actors are doing a touching drama, Jung Ji So is doing over the top comedy. Why does she have a dialect, duck walk and cringey track clothes when O Mal Sun had none of these. Where is she even supposed to find these clothes in 2024. I hope today's episode focuses on O Mal Sun, otherwise I'm really tempted to drop.
Ep 2 was considerably better. Kim Min Sung and Kim Eui Sung were father and daughter in Mr. Sunshine. Pretty great to see them running the inn together.
Propable drop, if ep 2 is not any different. Two actors, ML and FL, have exactly the same mannerisms: tightened lips, clenched jaw. Watching them makes my face hurt.
I think they just improvised almost all of the scenes. Based on just a very loose draft of a script. It didn't come out well. I like being honest about it, this is cringey to the max. Maybe I smiled a couple of times but the rest of the humour didn't land. I have to finish although at the middle of ep 11 it seems an almost impossible task. I waited for a turn to better but it never came. I stuck with this bc I loved S1. 5/10 and may even drop if ep 12 is as bad or worse.
Compared to s1 this season is very tone deaf. The writers have had no idea where to lead with the story and have…
I agree on all points. I don't think my sense of humour has changed though. I think they just improvised almost all of the scenes. Just a very loose draft of a script. It didn't come out well.
