Now this explains the reason behind all of our complaints of this season and synopsis of this seasons all cases…
Thanks for posting. These explanations are priceless. They did this drama with such clear goals and it's a glowing success, as should be. "Drawing the heart" as the second phase. Indeed. This is also how I understand the special qualities of Under The Skin.

Title Under the Skin Season 2 Spoiler
I’m surprised there is no underline main villian or nemesis is the second season, I always thought the character…
I think he will be a main villain and the last episodes will focus on a single case (the red dress girl)

My rating went from 7.0 for the first episodes to end in 9.0. Not understanding anything at first but still keeping watching will bring a truly big reward at the end.

Title Under the Skin Season 2 Spoiler
I thought the episode where AI encouraged suicidal behavior was pretty realistic. This article tells just how…
I also thought the episode about sex industry was realistic especially the scene with the S/M male client. This drama has utterly poetic cinematography (e.g., the garbage magic garden, the streamer girls' doll room) and the cases are fascinating.

This is a real treat for us history buffs aka those who know the story of crown prince Yi San (e.g., Red Sleeve)…
This is not a bromance or BL, Yi San uses scribe Nam as a discussion and debate partner to weigh the wisdom of his actions. Of course anyone can add their own interpretations, but in this particular drama that gives so much food for thought about the ethics of history writing, that lens means missing the key content.

This is a real treat for us history buffs aka those who know the story of crown prince Yi San (e.g., Red Sleeve) and his father, Crown Prince Sado (1726, e.g. from the Drama Special Crimson Moon). This deals with the important issues of history writing and recordkeeping. Crown prince Yi San wants to delete parts of his fathers' history to be better able to rule the warring factions, because the scandals of his family will undermine his authority and goals as the future king. The court historians refuse to make exceptions to the established practice of recordkeeping, because making exceptions would soon become habitual and the lessons from history would be lost. The dilemma is dealt in the drama with a very clear vision, I'd say this is so good that it would have deserved to be a movie theater film. Tang Jung San is very good in the role of the junior scribe, his emotional acting is once again very much to the point. If the topic of history writing and record keeping interests you, I liked also the drama Goo Hae Ryung. 9.5/10.

The first half was pretty intriguing. After the plot twist this became utterly uninteresting. Full-on psychos are never interesting. This was a big waste of time. 6/10

Why is it so hard to allow people to have different opinions about this show? Some people liked S1 better and…
Very true. But I find this page now has one of the best discussions I've seen, actually.

A grim, suspense filled c-noir crime drama. Maybe it's underrated because there's no flashiness; no rich people problems, no idol actors. The whole thing relies on the story and characters. The location is a middle size factory town, where the people are struggling and it rains most of the time. The main character is a young (17 years old) girl who is dead set on finding out what happened to her friend. Nothing stereotypical about the main characters. The twists and turns of the plot are completely unpredictable. You can't foreshadow anything really. I wasn't bored for a minute, I was pulled in from the start and invested in the story. 8/10.

The discussion between the police chief and Shen Yi was the key to this season. She was hoping that Shen Yi's insights into the human psyche and way of interpreting traces could be turned into a manual that helps also other police in psychological profiling.

Silly and boring, dropped at the beginning of ep 2. Adult woman getting a hysterical fit about not being married or having a bf, is not 2024. The kindergarten moms seem stereotypical.

Compared to other c-noir dramas I've been watching lately, this one is pretty lame and mediocre (7/10). People have been pointing out that there wasn't much chemistry between the leads, and that's true. This needed something that would have made it more spicey. Also they could have used much more humour. The plot twists aren't very surprising. I was most irritated about the last 2 episodes, since some key characters are brought in that didn't have any role in the first part of the drama.
