At this point I'm relieved Go Jun is not back in S2 bc I'd just hate seeing him do over the top comedy faces.

I remember people like me liked S1 - especially the latter part - except found Kim Sung Kyun's acting over the top and cringey and out of place in the drama. I guess they got triggered by the comments bc the whole crew is now acting like Kim Sung Kyun. Lee Ha Nee doing a Jim Carrey face... she's a very good comedian. And although I sort of enjoy the comedy I'd actually still prefer for this to be more serious. There's maybe still time. This is just me, having watched plenty of seriously heavy drug crime dramas lately. That means I just find the combination of drug crime and comedy a little too lighthearted.

A fast paced crime & detective drama. Not fast paced on steroids but compared to another thriller I'm watching right now (Save Me 2) this moves at double speed. We get attached to the 2 main characters. Zhuang Wen Jie is a Sherlock Holmes type and Captain Luo an authority but protective type. There's something fundamentally satisfactory about how well they and rest of the police work together. I find this entertaining and refreshing (currently at ep 13).

A year or 2 but it's not guaranteed it will be made available. Being a Viki subscriber means not having to wait.

decide for yourself. I just put up a warning. Not everyone enjoys violence to this degree but just tolerates it when it's required by the plot. You're welcome to make fun of me if that's the way you wish to contribute to this site. My background is not seeking violence per se or enjoying it for its own sake. I mostly watch noir crime dramas. What some people find overly violent like The First Shot are not particularly violent to me. But to be very desensitized to violence, I don't know whether it's good. I see a lot of people being able to handle only fluff like Brewing Love or Love Next Door. I don't know whether that's a good thing either. Just food for thought. I've got no answers. But in general, writing to dismiss other contributor's comments sucks. It makes the site unfortable. Just accept that not everyone sees things the same way. If you have something to say, say it in your own line and never bash others' opinions.

I could never watch Hollywood shows or movies. My gore your fluff. But if I'm not badly mistaken we are in an Asian drama site discussing a k-drama.

Violence and brutality come in degrees: in a scale of 1-10, this would be 9. Much more graphic than Worst of Evil. I'm just stating the obvious. I'm pretty hardboiled myself.

this is really fast paced. Bibi's character was rescued and Jinyoung must have been in the same car (with the female prosecutor) when Bibi were taken to the hospital. So I guess Jinyoung didn't get seriously hurt.

ep 3 tells the backstory

A man's eyelid was burnt with a cigar. There was a fight ring where loosers were brutally killed. The main antagonist's face and eyes were slashed with a knife. Personally I think this didn't need that much bloodbath to be effective. But that's just me.

I mostly watch C-noir and thrillers, but I must say, if you haven't started this yet, it's pretty extreme gore. Violence porn actually. Much more violent than Worst of Evil. Just a warning. I'd say some things went way too far. But I'm also liking the plot and will finish this. Seems there'll be a shift of focus in the next 4 eps.

Consider stating your view of the drama without bashing other users. Everybody has an opinion; better accept the fact.

Agreed. Park Jae Bum (or his team) also wrote Chief Detective 1958. During watching the first 2 eps of Fiery Priest 2, I saw many similarities to Chief Detective 1958 and was thinking, why did the writer have to take up so much work, bc it seems that he has already used up most of his good ideas. But, The Good Manager, Vincenzo, and The Fiery Priest 1 will forever remain top tier k-drama classics.

Really can't stomach this. The humour is cringey and forced. Not going to waste my time bc there are tons of better dramas out there. If this is for you, enjoy. Do not feel offended or call me a hater; it's not very serious if everybody's not on board. I like a different type of humour, Dong Jae, Mr. Plankton and Bitter Sweet Hell, were more to my taste.

This was so good, I hope for season 2. Funny, suspenseful, great acting, great writing. Poor Dong Jae, I really felt for him. Always driven into a corner. Really enjoyed every minute of this drama. 9/10.

C-noir drama exactly in my taste. Starts slowly, but gets more and more tense towards the end. This is dark but not depressing. Plenty of twists and turns that keep the suspense up troughout. We really get attached to the characters. There may be a ton of plotholes, but that didn't bother me much. I gave this 8.5/10.
