I love JCW in these types of role. he’s such a bad ass! I can’t wait for all the episodes to be out. oh yeah…
all the rudies seem to be from the US. blocked. This type of aggression just makes the site uncomfortable.

Yep, he's very probably the villain.

Yes, true. I couldn't watch Judge From Hell, beyond the first ep. It was all objectionable to me. Here, it's good to see the idea of a big corporation swallowing a small craft beer business questioned.

The writer is the same as in Secret Mother, which was a very well written mystery drama. (In Secret Mother, the 1st episode was slightly messy and misleading genrewise like the 1st episode in Face Me). We can expect the slow unravelling of the secret in the coming episodes. A current crime which is connected to a past crime (that's my hunch not a spoiler).

I like this, although it is what it is: a Disney-style k-drama: fast paced on steroids, a fight scene every 10 mins, very little character depth. Jo Woo Jin has a charismatic presence. He's great. Ji Chang Wook is a virtuoso actor once again doing a whole new type of role. I like the suffocating feeling we get when everybody except the ML is a bad cop.

Lee Min Ki's role is too similar to his role in Crash. He was excellent in My Liberation Notes but we've seen him as this asocial traumatized character too many times already.

The humour is cringey. Why do the ahjummas have to shout all their lines (director, I know you can do better than this based on your earlier work). We're supposed to laugh at their silliness and that doesn't sit well with me. I prefer laughing with people instead of laughing at them. Rural community dramas are my thing exactly, but only if the characters are portrayed in a warm and sympathetic manner. I hope there's a shift in tone in the next episodes. There's no hope for honed stylishness in this drama, that much is clear by now. But if the characters become humans instead of caricatures, it would be watchable. MCs good acting is not enough to carry a whole drama.

this isn't cute fluff, it's cringe fluff
true. 2nd ep showed it's exactly that.

Well, isn't cute fluff what most rom-com K-dramas are all about? 😅 But anyway, I do agree this one doesn't…
I agree, it's best to get into a drama when at least 4 episodes are out. I don't know who the writer is. This gives me Once Upon A Small Town vibes. That was a drama I just couldn't watch. But I'm also getting Wok Of Love vibes (same director), and WOL was a drama that got much better after the first 2 episodes. So, we'll see. ML being an empath is a nice premise.

I sense Met-As-Kids trope coming. 1st ep was kinda silly and unsubstantial. Don't know whether I'll keep watching. Cute fluff just isn't my thing.

yeah no i couldn't take it anymore. tried finishing but i just can't. script fraud - that's what this drama is.…
They really seemed like different people. Suddenly all three mains became all about advancing their careers and focus suddenly shifted to how newspeople are unaffected by anything else but the news. SHS acting in the last episodes irritated me as well. Indeed, how was that even possible after the fantastic job she did in the earlier episodes.. She seemed to go back to some of the mannerisms that irritated me in Welcome to Samdalri. Yes I really think they started filming from the last episodes.
A really entertaining crime investigation drama. Who'd have known that the combination of humour and serious case investigations would work so well together. The humour is actually funny and not cringy at all. The suspense is not watered down by the humor. The actors are all top notch. That's why all of this flows so well, we're in good hands. I hope there will be a season 2. I found this even better than Flex X Cop.

I felt the same. Only JE's ending made sense. And it was awful how they portrayed ML as being able to do the news…
I said in real life. IRL. Not in the drama. In real life that kind of shock makes you not able to function. This drama was not about the news and newspeople as deviant specimens until the last episode actually. But I'd prefer not to be challenged since everyone interprets the writing differently. Hopefully you understand that. I'd prefer people using some restraint in responding to comments. I may not have "watched correctly" in your view, but coming at me to say so is not it.

I had no problems watching him in Bulgasal as a devil but he was a wrong choice for this drama. Cold empty eyes, all the way.

I felt the same. Only JE's ending made sense. And it was awful how they portrayed ML as being able to do the news after the truck hit his colleague. This was bad, bad, bad writing. In real life that kind of shock would incapacitate anyone for at least a week.

Landed with a crash. The last episode destroyed all that was good about the rest of the drama. When there's so much pain ending should be tears and redemption. The proposal was physically nauseating to me. I promised to give this 1/10 if FL and ML end up together and keeping my promise. Punishment and protest ratings are completely okay when you feel let down so badly.
