I meant the breakup scene was beautiful until ML barged in. And it still was good with his barging in, bc we got a much needed realism check of what the ML is about. JY got his closure, he was happy he had experienced feelings of love and perhaps he doesn't wish for the world just to end anymore. Let's see if tomorrow I will still love this drama bc right now I'm still hanging on to my thread of hope.

Title Dear Hyeri
My interpretation and just mine (no attacks pls). Eun Ho is not healed, in ep 11 she was completely lacking of filters when they visited the grandmas. She seems manic to me. She seems like Hyeri pretending to be Eun Ho rather than the real Eun Ho. There's no way she went from near suicide and self harming to being her happiest self from 4 years ago. That would indeed be very bad writing. I still love this drama, the "good break up" date between JY and EH was beautiful. Kang Hoon is really great in this. Shin Hye Sun of course deserves a Daesang (grand prize).

Title Iron Family
I really like this family drama (8.5. level to me). It's fast paced and interesting. Absolutely love the grandma and grandpa, they're so cute. All actors are top tier which adds a lot to the enjoyability. I haven't watched many long weekend dramas (except Once Again and Never Twice) and this 36 eps format is promising. For me Iron Family is just as good as Family by Choice and Dog Knows Everything, If you like sympathetic and warm dramas, I'd highly recommend this one. (Am currently at ep 10).

The Light in Your Eyes. Record of Youth. Love Alarm 2. But none these were touching enough to make me go insane, just went wrong enough for me to roll my eyes.

thank god I'm not the only one. Jungo never learned to communicate efficiently. They didn't have an in-depth serious conversation about their break-up. Realistically, they'll end up with similar misunderstandings and miscommunication again. Until the end I was aching to get scissors and cut Jungo's hair. I found the slowness borderline comical, especially the slowed down scenes. If this had been more popular, it would have been good stuff for parodies. I can already see above that people freak out about even a whiff of criticism. Let them. It ain't that serious if a person like is me too hardboiled to like this drama. No cause for warfare.

are we watching the same drama?
it should not be difficult to understand that everyone has different experiences based on what they have watched before, plus cultural background plus personal experiences (gender, age, etc). Try and comment the drama and not put other watchers' experiences down. You have only watched 20 k-dramas which is nothing. Hence newcomer.

Well said. Dropped at the beginning of ep 3. Me too, I've seen almost every police, crime, thriller k-drama (after 2016) and this ain't interesting in any way. I'm not looking for humour or action but it's a must to get to know and care about the characters. And I do not like dramas where everything has to happen in a suffocating darkness. Even police go out to the sunshine every once in a while.

Well I disagree with many comments where people are saying that the writer is trying to portrait 'Love heals everything'…
genre: country blues:
My baby left me this morning
I did all your dishes
I washed all your clothes
I cooked for you
And I said it straight
You're dumb
You're not talented
Because
I left you first
I never said I love you
But baby can't you see
I love you so much

that scene where HO was visiting the psychiatrist was quite brilliant writing. It was glaringly obvious that also HO himself was in need of therapy.

I was happy to see Ji On back in the picture. The three guys drinking together was funny and gave me a flashback to Mr. Sunshine.

Ep's 9 and 10 were so beautiful and deep. I love this drama, it's extraordinary. If Eun Ho just goes back to the toxic and abusive ML, I'll be disappointed. I guess he'll achieve some major character development in the last episodes. For a lonely person with no self-esteem to stay in an abusive relationship is of course a very realistic scenario. This happens to people in real life all the time. But I hope for a more open ending, where we see Eun Ho taking some kind of a new step towards healing. Maybe I trust the writer too much. But I don't think this will end in a conventional manner in which they just continue their relationship and supposedly live happily ever after.

Right. I don't mind if Eunho doesn't end up with Juyeon, but Hyunoh has never opened up really. Until he does…
I enjoyed the quality of discussions here, though. This was good about watching whilst this is airing. How women stay with abusive spouses is all very realistic and most of us could see that (thank god for small mercies). Am going to watch the last episodes but bracing myself for a disappointment.

You're right. In reality people don't really change that much. A person can learn to communicate a little better perhaps but being nasty comes from his contempt of himself (bc he was abandoned as a kid) and that wound won't ever heal.

Sorry for the typos. My favorite Ahn Nae Sang duality examples are The Guest (main villain) and Unlock My Boss (funny dad). Kim Chang Hwan, Bad Prosecutor (main villain) and It's Okay Not To Be Okay. Sung Dong Il, Jang Ok Jung versus If You Wish Upon Me. One of my fave chameleons is Jo Sung Ha (Save Me versus Sungkyungkwan Scandal). These veterans really get to portray every possible kind of human, we're so lucky they're not typecasted.
