Go Jun is such a FREAKING AMAZING AHJUICCY Actor! #fangirling and #drooling like crazy! šBinging this show…
completely agree! He's so good and the way he carries himself, just legendary. Action man in The Fiery Priest. I wish there was a short clip of his impro dancing scene in Save Me, I want to put a gif of that in my page!
The last episode was so satisfactory. I lifted up my rating from 9.5. to 10/10. To pick out just one of the truly impressive scenes (too many to mention), the way the rat-in-a-maze police went to see his former boss Gu Tak in prison and they just looked at each other. Without saying a word, we could see the anger from the betrayal mixed with sorrow and comradeship. Black Out is a rare case, a nearly flawless drama. I waited for some 2 years for this to finally come out, and it was so worth it. Byun Yohan was excellent in this. Go Jun is a legend. All actors were fantastic in their roles. It's rare to see director having such a tight grip over everything. There was not one week moment or episode, imo.
This is an unusual police and crime drama. The heavy focus on aethetics and ambiance makes it different from the usual police procedural dramas. It doesn't try to be realistic and isn't, in the way the crimes are solved. The pacing is excellent, imo. When the most interesting aspects of a criminal or a case are revealed, the plot moves very quickly on to a new case. Much of the drama revolves around Shen Yi's thought processes and visual observations, which are very unique and fascinating. Du Cheng is the more solid bread and butter police. Their teamwork is one of the enjoyable aspects.
I hate feeling like I'm the only not enjoying this very much.. but I'm having a hard time getting invested. The…
You're not the only one. I feel this is meant to be arty but fails. To me the slowness would be okay if there was an intelligent narrator (philosophy) or more dialogue. But this does not engage me, either heart or brain. I'm not usually impatient but I considered watching ep 3 on 1.5 speed (but what would be the point of watching if I did that). Not sure whether I'll care to finish.
The first 4 episodes were interesting, but at ep 5 it turned disappointing. Boring subplots. There's a lot of violence, too much for my taste. Some of the survivors turn out to be complete monsters. I never like the portrayal of ordinary people as monsters. I had the same problem with Concrete Jungle. After ep 6, I don't think I will care to finish this, although it's short
I had to scroll past some parts. That is mind-bogging, I think it surpasses even the Nazi experiments! But the…

I don't think Youku will upload the whole series in Yt so maybe you can either watch it on illegal sites or get…
I was a Youku subscriber but they still asked for money to get an advance viewing of the episodes. and that's why I think it's okay to watch illegal sites. There has to be predictability, not this kind of randomness. (I have 2 subscriptions and can't pay for more).
