I may be alone in this but Lin Xi is a better woman than I am for how she was still civil after that backstabbing, employee-poaching business in Ep. 34. Like how do you expect me to be okay with you poaching my best employee for your own gain without even giving me a heads-up? Nah. But also that head tilt from Lin Xi in the car convo at the end of the episode? Ohhh boy. That’s how you know you’ve said the wrong thing sir.

Ep. 11 now and I’m having such a major beef with this mountain spirit god omg!!! Like I’m so sorry you had such a tragic back story but did you even think to ask if what you think happened is actually what happened or if there is some real misunderstanding about that chain of events? And even so, let’s say what you think actually happened,
1. Aren’t you a god? Why didn’t you use your powers to save her?
2. If you’re so hell bent on revenge, why not just kill them both right there and then? Why wait hundreds of years until they reincarnate and know absolutely nothing about who you are or your story to exact your revenge on people who look like their ancestors but know nothing about the past? And expect them to remember or pay for those sins?

Anyways, he claims he’s no longer the mountain spirit god but still uses his powers playing god in the lives of people who has nothing to do with his tragic love story. He’s supposed to be the mountain spirit god and he shouldn’t have been trifling with human affairs but he already broke that by falling in love with one so waiting hundreds of years just to exact revenge on again, people who has nothing to do with him or his drama, is just so overtly petty.

Ha! Everybody say what you will about CEW’s acting but one thing the man will deliver is some soft, juicy, and hot make-out scene!!!! Also helps that PGY knows how to kiss as well and not just one of those fish lips leads.

I was enjoying the amount of tongue action in that scene 😮‍💨

Lemme just say, it’s been a slightly painful journey but now we’re finally getting the good parts 😭 LX and XYC finally getting together has been good for the soul, shouldve happened sooner for this type of drama but that’s fine!!

Now let me just get to my new complaints/observation.
1. Im on Ep. 29 and I’m so sure that entire Gao family drama has just been all because of the auntie w/ a fuck ass bob constantly being jealous of LX’s mom. This woman has had no shame and her only redeeming quality is her own daughter being nicer than she is.
2. In a world full of childish characters, Tong Xin would’ve been the last person I would’ve pegged to be acting this way. Cus ma’am how are you the most mature character in this drama and you still let hearsay and whispers cloud your judgment and act petty rather than asking CY if he really wanna move out or if he still liked Lin Xi?
3. I really really don’t understand Shasha being so hung up on WT when he literally look like her uncle and she has a cute professor chasing her 💀 Anyway, I’m glad they broke up!! I like WT as a side character to LX and XYC but he’s not a good boyfriend, especially if he decided to date somebody 10+ yrs younger, is known to be high-maintenance, and his own employee.

I feel like this summarizes how I feel/interpret this drama really well. In the first few episodes ML definitely was way too rude but it feels that after that actress case, we can see more how tolerant and patient he could be except for the fact that the Fl is the way she is— too emotional, hard-headed, slow, and oblivious. Ngl its much harder to watch the FL for me than the ML

omg same!!! I feel like I wanna pull my hair out with the way things are going and I’m at Ep. 17 😭 I just about had it with the ML being so overtly rude sometimes but also the FL being so…. naiive quite often makes me think she deserve the yelling too. I need some hope!!!

I’m so glad to hear this! I’m not familiar with the CP franchise but she seems perfectly cast as Yue Qi.

Many hates Yu Shuxin’s choice of voices she use but as I know she’s also a voice actor, I looked up the Chinese Paladin 6 game just to compare how close she gets to the game’s Yue Qi. I suggest ya’ll to also do the same before you comment negatively about how you feel about her voice in this drama because this is exactly how Yue Qi sounds in the original game the drama is adapted from. Just a kind reminder 😇 Anyway, I just started and so far enjoying!!

I absolutely loved this drama. It showed so much healing and growth and it kinda just gives you so much comfort while following how all the characters evolved throughout their own storylines.
