great guide. I'm a fan of him myself. On a side note... the Korean movie version of Kimi wa Petto was sub par…
i suppose it's a matter of preference. doesn't hurt to give the movie a chance though.

great guide. I'm a fan of him myself. On a side note... the Korean movie version of Kimi wa Petto was sub par (though I normally really like Jang Geun Suk). Definitely not as good as the drama with Jun.

really like this. you can always count on these tips in 99% of the dramas. you have obviously done some research…
yeah.. you're right... but the "research" would be the actual viewing of the drama wouldn't it? ;)

on a side note, I do appreciate the 1% of the dramas where things work out differently.

I can't believe how old many of the actresses are and they are still beautiful. Ivy Chen just turned 30 for instance and she still managed to pull off playing a very young character in Skip Beat. I also adore Kitagawa Keiko - she's adorable and beautiful at the same time. Barbie Hsu is in my top Taiwan list of beauties as well. Yoshitaka Yuriko is indeed beautiful. When she guested on the kdrama Vampire Prosecutor 2 I was almost jealous of her character for Prosecutor Yoo's sake. She's just so beautiful. Great list :)

I only saw Hear Me as well. I loved it! Ivy Chen and Eddie Peng were adorable in it. The other 2 movies look good I'll probably add them to my PTW list. :)

In "I Love You So Much", I didn't love this drama, but the one thing I loved about it is that the male second, Shao Feng actually won out in the end. He stuck with her and she decided that she couldn't put up with the mess she had to deal with in the main male Yu Jie. So good on her! It made me smile and have happy tears in the end.
Though I do understand the 2nd lead syndrome. I love it when dramas DO provide a 2nd female for the 2nd male to eventually turn to. I hate seeing them heart-broken and alone at the end.

well duh... guess I could've done a search on that. I'm such a dork. Okay. Maybe I did see it briefly in the past year and forgot about it. But my subconscious mind still remembered that MAL existed. I'm going to myanimelist now.

while I'm not into kpop (or pop in general) I do like a couple of groups myself. CNBlue is good. Tried listening to F.T.Island? I tend to like bands that actually play instruments - thus my liking CN Blue and FTIsland.
My intro to Asian entertainment started with anime. I need an MDL for anime I think... except it would probably be called MAL instead :)... but I haven't watched anime for awhile because of drama... D:

A good list though a few of my favorite koreans are missing - Hyun Bin and Yun Jung Hoon for example. I agree with the Taiwan list but I would add Vic Chou to the list. Mike He I agree with completely. He's my absolute favorite taiwanese actor and for the same reasons you stated. Japanese actors... Ikuta Toma's on there that's good enough for me. The rest I'm still trying to decide the rest of my top 5 japanese actors.

Glad I'm not his only stalker. I first saw him in Mr. Brain and have been steadily watching his past dramas. Something about him ... and lucky me... he and I were born in the same year. ^.^

I imagine it will take a long time for me to see all of Dr. Who as well - the episodes I have seen are out of order. But then his time travels are sometimes out of order too. so... :) feel free to send me a message any time as i always see the characters remaining dwindling here... :)

yes, it's Poirot from the Agatha Christie novels. We've watched them on Netflix. I don't think it's a regular series. I think it's probably more of an occasional tv special type thing.
I've only seen a few eps of Dr. Who. So I still have a ways to go before I can say I'm a 'Whovian'. :)

it's been a while since I watched... my favorites are mostly comedies - IT Crowd, Father Ted, Monty Python, Whose Line is it Anyway(UK), Fawlty Towers, My Family, Keeping up Appearances... also a few serious ones (not done watching): Sherlock, Downton Abbey, Poirot, etc...
