I will probably watch this. It looks interesting. I have a soft spot for gender-bender dramas and movies. But since I just hate having to wait for each new episode in a new drama I'll probably wait til it's done airing before watching
My tastes are also different. Most of these actresses I really don't like. I can tolerate Moon Geun Young but mostly in her movies. Very few of her dramas I've seen. Yoon Eun Hye, Shin Min Ah, and Ha Ji Won really rankle my nerves for some odd reason. Park Shin Hye is cute but I've only seen her in 2 dramas and I just liked one of them. The other actress I haven't seen in any dramas so I have no opinion on her.
My actresses that I'll watch in almost anything are Kim Sun Ah, Gong Hyo Jin, and Son Ye Jin.
These are the kinds of shows/dramas/movies I like to watch - how someone with a disability copes with life... and also how people around them reacts to their disability. Anyway, I'm definitely intrigued. This may become the first Joo Won drama I watch... (I've yet to see any of his dramas *gasp!*)
I couldn't even finish the first one. I could barely muddle through them. I love Rain too but I seriously didn't like his character. I may or may not pick it up again. I haven't watched the 2nd one yet. Am still deciding whether or not to even attempt it.
Most of these are great choice. I love Narimiya Hiroki, but for Sheldon I could see Matsuda Shota playing the…
Before I wouldn't have believed who could do this type of role, but he manages it quite well. BTW, I'm just wondering who you'd pick to play Leonard and Sheldon's mothers because those women are a big part of the show too- especially Sheldon's mom.
Most of these are great choice. I love Narimiya Hiroki, but for Sheldon I could see Matsuda Shota playing the part better than Narimiya. I've seen Matsuda play awkward roles and he did rather well - like in Meitantei no Okite and Afro Tanaka. While neither is exactly a brainy-nerd role they definitely show that this nice lookin fella can play an awkward character who doesn't quite fit in with society norms.
To be fair, in A Millionaire's First Love he had to live without money. He couldn't inherit his fortune until certain criteria were met. She knew who he was and knew if he didn't shape up he wouldn't get the money (or so we think). So even if she did live she would've loved and accepted him whether or not he ended up keeping his inheritance.
The other characters were obviously rich and thus fit this article nicely. I have been taking a break from the traditional k-dramas and looking for ones that aren't rich guy/poor girl dramas.
Expectations: A fantastic drum roll but then nothing happening after the roll. It is rather disappointing. But thankfully kisses do eventually happen (in most cases anyway).
You know what's worse? When it does lead up to a kiss but it's the most awkward or might-as-well-be-kissing-a-wall…
Yes! I totally agree. I kind of understand actresses/actors being uncomfortable doing onscreen kisses, but it is possible to do close-mouthed and sexy kisses without looking shocked or scared in the process (look at all the pre-1970s Hollywood movies - they managed to do it).
I haven't seen the j-version yet. I keep putting it off. The k-version I absolutely loved and I have seen mixed reviews about ikemen desu ne. I actually started the first episode of the j-version but didn't get too far. So its on hold for now. I will watch it before seeing Fabulous Boys - which I'm looking forward too but at the same time not getting my hopes too high. :)
This was a nice article - I liked reading the comparison.
I'm sort of a pedonoona... I'll call all the young boys who are the same age as my daughters(early 20s)my kids. As adorable as those boys are I can't find myself being sexually attracted to them (a small handful of exceptions tho). The ones in their late 20s and older are different. While I'm older than many of my favorite actors it's usually by just about 10 years. So I still love the younger men. Just not the ones that I'm old enough to be their mom. In the meantime I have a whole list of actors/idols that are on my list of "my babies".
not immediately.. but that nail shop one is a short drama that is a big plus in my book. I'm an F.T.Island fan so I'll probably watch Lee Hong Ki's new movie... Otherwise most of these will be put on back burner. I'm still trying to catch up on older dramas. I've no time for new ones D:
I do believe that certain settings do require the proper clothes (wedding, job interview, etc). But at home or in daily life if you're comfy in it, then just wear it. My personal style is a cross between the "beggar" look and the Gae In look. And I honestly don't care about fashion or style. So ... yeah.. I guess my whole life is a "fashion no-no". OTL
Consciously - no. Occasional words slip out, but I'm very aware of social situations and stay true to the situation at hand. Though honestly, I rarely am faced with a social situation as I'm at home most of the time. I liked Ramyun/Ramen long before I watched drama and same goes for chopsticks. I'm generally the same person I've always been. Staying true to my real self. However, if I ever made a trip to any of the countries in southeast Asia I feel like I'd be able to adopt their social mannerisms quite easily - bowing, formal language, etc...
Before Asian dramas I watched a lot of British TV (still do actually) I've yet to pick up any British habits either. I guess I'm not such a fan that I pick up habits like that.
Hong Sisters? I guess I may watch for So Ji Sub's sake. There's only a couple of their dramas that I've really liked (and actually managed to watch all the way through). With horror added to the mix maybe this one will be different.
These are interesting. I haven't seen any of these yet. But I'll consider them in the future. Actually, there are a couple of dramas where I was rooting for the bad guy (who actually, in the end didn't turn out so bad). Those were both Japanese dramas - Orthros no Inu and Maou. In both dramas, the endings allowed for them to reconcile with their foes though. So I was pretty satisfied since both good guy and bad guy basically were winners... well not in Maou since that was a too tragic ending D:
