He's probably going to end the chain events himself. According to the flashback, he died in a car accident on the way to her hometown. So perhaps, he's trying to recreate the accident in the hopes that his death would save Misa as well as their friend?

(I know the logic behind is a bit questionable seeing as he isn't really exchanging his life for Misa's since he's anyway expected to die)

If it helps, in the webtoon if I remember correctly, it was Tomoya's mum's death that replaced Misa's (since the MIL wasn't supposed to die in the original timeline but in the new timeline Reina

Sunjae fell for her kindness and smile originally. He was a sheltered teen who only had focussed on swimming at that point. Having moved to a new neighborhood just after recovering from a traumatic injury, out of nowhere this girl treats him so nicely eventhough she thought he was a delivery man was enough to make a difference.

That's the beauty of their love. Sol was an average awkward teen in reality but in Sunjae's eyes, that meetcute transformed her into something more 😊

By the time we come to their last timeslip, Sunjae's love transcends into something more once he remembers all his interactions with her from their "past lives".

Each line seems to disappear once your partner dies. The guy in ep 1 was obsessed and judgemental about even others lines (bar scene) so i guess the longer he used the glasses, the more obsessed he got about getting a clean slate for himself? Afterall S.Korea is a relatively conservative country so he might not have wanted others with the ability to judge him the way he judged everybody?😅😅😅

It would be an awesome twist but the preview can be just messing with us 🙈

True! He might have some unresolved business connected to the school ground though- i mean the way he told the archery coach that he was too late suggests there's more to the story. They didn't really dwelve into the history behind the haunted house or school right?

It would explain why the house is a magnet for evil spirits. Bong Su also did seem a tad too obsessed about the school which is pretty much close to the school. Like, how he told the archery coach that he was too late? There seems to be a link🙊

Probably killed on action/ tortured and executed by the otherside? It would explain why someone so young would hold so much animousity even in death.

Give it till episode 3 may be to decide? It gets really better from ep 3 onwards. Fair warning though, if you aren’t into fantasy/ chill dramas that involve High School students (and HS emotions), this might not be your type. The ML’s personality may seem annoying at first but once you get his backstory it’s understandable.

Curious to know Bong Su’s backstory. The flashback suggests that he wasn’t really evil even if he probably killed people while he was alive (I mean at least it wasn’t out of malice/ he looked young enough to have been forced into it). Quite the plot twist ngl!

Ji Ho’s human amulet no longer works/ the robot talisman was destroyed after GU got possessed. My guess is that the reason why Seong Ha’s lip balm talisman is still working is because GU loves her enough to keep it still active.

Then again, Tomoya's character died from a "self inflicted" car accident in the webtoon- so does that count as suicide even if he didn't tamper with the brakes with suicide in mind? Since he drove the car knowing that the breaks didn't work (can't remember if he was drunk at the time though now)

Any idea how the lite novel handled his death? It's interesting that both dramas chose to end Wataru's life with a car accident when it's not part of the webtoon unless the webtoon changed his narrative from the original🙈

It was suicide according to the webtoon but in it, he didn't take Jee Won (Misa)'s ashes if i remember correctly.

Basically right after the funeral, he "walked into" the sea. In the kdrama, it was a fatal car accident but again i can't recall if he took her ashes with him.

Ideally Tomoya is supposed to die from a car accident if they follow the webtoon, so he should be Wataru's replacement. I think Tomoya's mum replaced Misa's death (at least in the webtoon if i remember correctly).

Not sure how it went in the lite novel though so if it's different, they might take inspiration from that too.
