Re-watched ep 5 and just notice subtle gesture from Wataru. He seems hugged Misa's ashes tighter while he walked…
It was suicide according to the webtoon but in it, he didn't take Jee Won (Misa)'s ashes if i remember correctly.
Basically right after the funeral, he "walked into" the sea. In the kdrama, it was a fatal car accident but again i can't recall if he took her ashes with him.
Ideally Tomoya is supposed to die from a car accident if they follow the webtoon, so he should be Wataru's replacement. I think Tomoya's mum replaced Misa's death (at least in the webtoon if i remember correctly).
Not sure how it went in the lite novel though so if it's different, they might take inspiration from that too.
Go for it! I felt the same too at first but I just binged all 6 episodes at once today๐What I love about the…
Yess!!! I was actually curious about the animal change too so i did a little reading. Turns out ๐ข in japanese culture signify longevity and immortality - pretty on theme with MMH's "must outlive your destiny" concept๐คญ
It was kind of funny how Misa actually shood away a cat from the pond ๐น
I don't think she really went for a makeover in this version- more like Misa finally embraced her own true style albeit with a revenge haircut- something that suits her personality? Same goes with the Director, unlike in the original, they didn't give him a makeover arc either.
I have heard that this was actually filmed or production started first compared to the kdrama so this isnโt…
Yes, but not many are familiar with the webtoon so I've noticed some refer to it as a remake- hence the comparison ๐
The kdrama actually follows the webtoon more closely than the jdrama (which i'm grateful for). Like even the use of a ๐ข instead of a ๐โโฌ๏ธ since Japanese culture entwines ๐ข with immortality and longevity which is perfectly on theme with MMH๐
The original Korean version is one of my all-time favorite dramas. I loved the visuals, the tension, and honestly…
Go for it! I felt the same too at first but I just binged all 6 episodes at once today๐
What I love about the Jdrama version is that they have made quite a lot of changes (i mean as opposed to the kdrama which was similar to the webtoon for the most part) but the differences actually make the story feel less like a "copy" while still maintaining enough suspense that can still keep you curious.
The outcomes are the same since they do stick to the original plot outcomes so you aren't always taken by surprise BUT at the same time it's fun connecting the dots.
I just LOVE how this version doesn't really feel like a re-make. This Jdrama feels like an original while still managing to retain the essence of the source โฅ๏ธ (This is coming from someone who loves both the webtoon and the Kdrama)
The prophercy came true. GU lost his "life" on the 21st day ๐ซ (He isn't dead but possessed by a powerful evil…
Yes!!! I thought i'd hate the ๐ฟ but he seems kind of funny ๐คฃ
Curious to know how YH's character will play out. She's supposed to be evil but there seems to be more to her story. I just hope they don't sacrifice the mum๐
The grandmother was rich but she used all her savings to protect Gyeon U. Dad's not going to come near GU since…
Can't risk getting any bad juju even indirectly i guess. Also it looks like the father isn't the one in control anyway. Wonder why the mum is soooo blatantly against her own son. I understand why the uncles and aunts would be mean. The dad sucks too but you can see that he's a coward. But the mum is pretty much treating poor GU like he has the plague ๐ฅฒ
(She is alive right? I remember like the mum is alive๐)

Yesss!!! Hope they don't spend too much time on it๐
Since we have 6 episodes left, they'll probably dedicate:
*1 episode for GU's possesion
*1-2 episodes to get rid of the deity and the evil shaman
*1 episode to figure out how to break GU bad luck curse
*1 episode worth of tragedy for our fairy godess
*1 episode for the MC to be with eachother and the whole gang planning for theit future (since it's a high school oriented drama, they probably will add some fluff but it would be fun to see them as grown ups too at least for a few minutes) ๐๐๐
I always end up in tears in every episode even though episode 6 is so funny because of the bromance between Gyeon…
The grandmother was rich but she used all her savings to protect Gyeon U. Dad's not going to come near GU since he probably fears that he might bring financial misfortune if he helped Gyeon U directly.
I just don't understand why ML soo much trusting the Evil shaman even though hate those guys. I wish ML can get…
In the ML's case, i think it's mostly because the evil Shaman has had control over him since he was a kid- it's deeply rooted trauma you just can't shake off at once. She's also his sole contact to reach his family so he isn't ready to burn that bridge (even if his familish is foolish/ shitty).
Finally i guess, until Seong Ah proved that the evil shaman didn't have any plans to help him, he did trust her- she's ๐ฟ but blunt and he doesn't want to believe that his family would try to hurt him by selecting somebody untrustworthy all this time.
Unpopular opinion but I started watching it and liked it alot but then its too slow paced and it started to get…
About the politeness, I think it's just part of their culture. Recently I had a real life experience of it. I was in the wrong, but my Japanese contact was so polite and kept apologising for troubling me (eventhough technically he was my client) ๐

Seeing as they keep giving ominous signals whenever the mum is involved, ngl I'm afraid for her ๐ซ

I seriously hope she isn't going to be a bigger villain than the evil deity๐
