I must've missed it but why did the granddad/father get the truck to smash into the car killing the FL's lil brother?
The little brother saw real Sa Eon's face which ruined his "switch" plan in case if the kid said something.

Honestly that entire family is sick. Egoistic righteousness took over common sense since he seriously feared a 2 Yr old kid who was even too young to ride the carousel alone๐Ÿ’”

This was said hours ago, but people here just won't accept the fact.Literally, no one in S. Korea has issue with…
Unrelated topic- what was the rival show that hit 15%? My usual source for daily drama updates is ๐Ÿ’€ so I'm at the mercy of SNS / Netflix these days when it comes to finding new shows๐Ÿซ

Reading this thread was a bit enlightening since I was wandering why X was so LOUD about this issue while none of the other SNS accounts i use barely made a peep except may be in the comments thread but that's also not much. Most were filled with love/ ridiculing Argan plot only.

I get what you mean!

Looks like by the time they finalized the final episodes, they either shortened the number of episodes or ran out of screen time space or was close to missing some deadline and just summarised alot of bits that shouldn't have been summarised just so they can complete it.

Without context from the novel, it does kind of remind me of certain C-dramas that felt disjointed because they had to remove scenes/ episodes after filming.

it had me wondering the whole damn time!! greatest flaw in the whole drama! brothers would have 100% same dna!
Not really- they are half brothers.

Even pure siblings won't have a perfect score due to the way the parents' DNA are split (idk the exact science of this though to go into further detail ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…). The score will be high but probably not high enough to be the "parent"

They could have elaborated it better ngl rather than just calling it DNA test.

Haha ikr! I read the Korean to Mandarin to English translation of that particular chapter- calling it a rollercaster ride is a major understatement๐Ÿ™ˆ

only 2 flaws in my opinion:1. can anyone freely fly to a war zone and right into the heart of enemy rebels, get…
Point 1- In the novel, Heeju was supposed to be part of a volunteer sign language teaching group and she'd been there for months by this point. Her teaching base was raided because the rebels/ soldiers (can't remember which grp) needed an inteprettor since their hostage was deaf and couldn't communicate. SE was part of the negotiation team handling the same situation coincidentally (he was abit rambo like in the novel too though ngl ๐Ÿ™ˆ)

The drama probably ran out of time to do a proper episode on this or tried to romanticize it too much.

Point 2- the DNA test probably was specifically a paternity test since they didn't show the % of match

SE is too traumtised to think rationally- specially where HeeJu is concerned ๐Ÿ™ˆ
IMO guess they tried to squeeze too many plot points into ep 12 while trying to give fans as much SaJu moments as possible which didn't really work with the screentime available. ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ

They could have picked one lane and focussed on it properly since they already did many changes to SE's character. The fake death plot point cojld have actually worked since they did include it at first in ep 12

I didn't even expect the Argan plot line ngl since it felt beyond their budget and too time consuming for 1 episode ๐Ÿ™ˆ

---
In the novel, the story wraps up with their reunion in Agan. There are additional bonus pages available that work as an epilogue that covers SaJus life but idk if these were part of the original novel or released separately later.

(The Argan reunion story is more fleshed out in the novel since Heeju spends months as part of an intepretor/ sign language volunteer teacher there while looking for SE on the side and only gets captured by the rebels because they raided Heeju's base- she wasn't randomly looking for the sunset spot).

Since they didn't show the % match, it probably was a paternity test specifically? It's not really mentioned in the drama so it's opn for interpretation i guess.

Kdramas usually like to show the % to dramatize the result so it's an interesting choice to not show it.

PDJ is practically his "work wife". Even Heeju called him out on it ๐Ÿ˜

TMAi- noticed this with other pages. Identifying is messy with WTPR specifically since usually bot accounts fixate over petty points like plot holes and actor's looks.

Unfortunately, today's concern is too sensitive to identify the difference very well (though there were a few obvious accounts here too who were taking advantage of the situation).

That's true. Looking at SNS though, the issue is too complex to label anybody at this point based on their watch history. There might be a few obvious accounts but i'm guessing many are genuinely concerned.

(I saw a post online with a screenshot of some of the comments from this site getting circulated around so even MDL has caught more attention today).

what was this last episode? i still don't understand why they decided to put a war zone plot in this... like,…
Argan arc - Technically, Argan was mentioned in ep 1 as this was the negotiation SE was handling during HJ's kidnapping but they messed up the execution of the storyline in ep 12 (not the best, but it was handled better in the novel instead of the rushed reunion in ep 12).

They could have thought things through or changed this plot though since there was an obvious bottle neck with the schedule timeline.

It's probably a combination.

Not everyone who uses MDL creates an account until something compels them to (either the drama discussions/ theories are too good to resist or to voice their concerns).

That being said, not all accounts are honest (i'm not talking about this page but in general). It's upto the users to decide whats fair and what's manufactured ๐Ÿซ

Ah i see.

It was a foolish thing for MBC and the writer to even consider using these names. Their silence as well as NF's lack of response just makes things worse.

That's nice to know at least I guess...or makes this worse. Guess let's see how MBC/ Netflix will handle this over the next few days.

You know what's insane to me?If the evil grandpa had had his granchild committed and taken the ML into his home…
Comitting the grandson would leave a paper trail that could lead back to the Baeks in their egotistical minds.

Having an illegitimate son too would be contraversial to his "sparklingc reputation specially at 55 (assuming the grandpa was 70 and SE was 15 during the flashback events)

Yesh they probably won't.

I'm trying to recall how they handled the KTL contraversy but for the life of me I can't recall if they actually ever put a statement or simply quietly removed the problematic scenes.

They messed up with the names ngl. Whether it was ignorance, a failed attempt at trying to be woke, or spew propoganda, they should have forseen the outburst since they know how netizens work.

It's true that the novel too had a war conflict but it was like a continuation of the Argan arc if I'm not mistaken (it's been awhile so I can't recall what exactly the war conflict was about ).

What the f just happened? So many wholes in this story. So if he is a son of his grandfather, who is his mother…
His mother isn't important to the story. The Chairman is a creep so wouldn't be surprised if he paid her off/ made her disappear the moment she gave birth to him

In SE's case, guess motherly love wasn't important to him since he's always been sorrounded by toxic mothers (Heeju's + his "mum"). You can't miss what you never had?
