They were supposed to meet that evening. My guess is while looking for Lin, XG might hear about the serious skii accident (Xu's colleague) and fear it's him(the colleague's build and suit is a bit similar to Lin's). Since the hospital also couldn't verify him as a registered patient and it's unlike him to not give any notice, I guess she had a melt down due to stress?

(It's been established that ever since she found out about his first accident and her "curse" accident, she's been pretty concerned about his safety- she even bought him a charm)

True- as an outsider it does make us question Lin's memories since the XG we KNOW from ep 1-4 would never do the things he remembers. Without these scenes, we can trust Lin's pov blindly since he has no reason to fabricate his own memories (not that kind of drama genre either).

Ep 22-23 based on the pre release.

You can kind of guess what happened after watching ep 14-16 if you try to connect all the crumbs they've been giving us from Lin's personal flashbacks + XG's family drama.

Their interactions get better once XG falls off the balcony (can't recall the ep number now). At the moment Lin is torn between hope and betrayal from 2011 so he cannot be his true self with her. Similarly XG feels uncomfortable because of Lin's erratic behaviour.

I did like the fact that her immediate response to the revelation was that XG must have broken up with her “boyfriend” and Lin was her new suitor (makes sense since she doesn’t know when did ZX confirm it) instead of immediately expecting the worst - that she lied to ZX. She’s curious for now but I wonder how she will change once ZX finds out the truth. 🙈 I low key hope she doesn’t turn into yet another toxic character.

I fear for his brother's life at this point. The trip is too traumatizing for him🙈😹

Yes!! Now that XG knows just how badly the selfish daughter hurt Lin and herself, she will not let things slide.

I'm guessing her mum will probably slap her too. She specifically asked the daughter to be nice so she can milk Nie's wallet dry. This is going to mess with her plans too since now Nie would probably try to get XG to forgive him (one can hope at least)🙈

ZX is the whole package - toxic mum, toxic MIL, and clueless fragile emporer with a penchant for tantrums 😉
