Netflix follows the VIP schedule since they normally don’t have an express pass unlike with Tencent. If you are comparing it with the pirate site’s uploads, the pirate site probably has access to the SVIP episodes 🙈

This pace isn’t that bad TBH. In the past Netflix has had even 4 episodes or so delays.😅

The beginning is quite slow but once the ML and FL meet in ep 4-5, the drama gets more interesting. Corporate side story has its ups and downs depending on your interest in the industry (PV during the early 2010s).

SML is your typical cliche pity party. The female opponent (not sure if you can call her SFL since she’s not mentioned in the top 5) will most likely be an irritating pain in the ass.

The story is not mind blowing so far but the slow burn between the MC is entertaining and feels natural. Since there is no rich CEO- POOR assistant trope here, their dynamic is interesting and feels fresh to me. Both leads are smart and grounded so they don’t come off as arrogant/ vapid. Their actions/ reactions are justifiable usually and at the same time they are both self aware enough to rectify their mistakes without any unnecessary drama.

There is one key misunderstanding from the past that hasn’t been addressed yet as of ep 18 so it will be interesting to see how the couple will confront it once the time comes.

Did the daughter actually pretend to be XG?? I thought people just assumed she was Nie’s daughter since even her clique from a few episodes back seemed to know about her “situation” 🙈

The writer effectively buried Xu alive with this one scene 🙈

Yes! I hope this is the reason in a way. Imagine how guilty XG would have felt if the accident was because she skipped a blind date/ forgot him? At least this way, she won't try to take any unnecessary blame🙈 Then again I can only imagine how Lin would feel once he finds out the whole truth 🥲

And I bet Miss Delulu will be a huge thorn soon. We might end up missing the days we had to endure with Xu's self pity since she seems way more dangerous than him. 😅😅😅

Yes, you are probably right! The mum seems like a real piece of work if she's been able to manipulate the father for so long.

SML will be a problem I guess but I'm hoping (delusionally) that he won't be a major headache like most recent SMLs🙈 Perhaps the coworker might change his wishes? Then again, I read in the comments that his book version didn't really have much presence in the main story and he ended up rich and alone🙈

I think the blind date was supposed to be with the half/ step sister but Lin mistook it as XG. The friend only mentions that "Nie's daughter" fell in love with him at first sight. So it makes sense why he's mad that XG has no idea who he is (and also explains why she doesn't know him). Since the other girl too mentioned how Nie took her to a gala 2 years ago and XG ignored her even then, the timeline fits. Knowing how arrogant she is, it's not hard to imagine her losing interest in Lin once she found out his accident ended his career which is why he never met her after the accident eventhough the friend promised to that she'll visit Lin soon while he was recovering.🙈

(It also would make sense how Miss Delulu will obviously try to ruin the MC's relationship since Xu is too passive to be thaaat annoying (for now).

Was trying to figure out how did Lin manage to recover from his accident/ depression + be an excellent employee within 2 years.

I'm not that familiar with the Vivo range from 2013 but her phone does look like my old Samsung Galaxy from that time period.

XG is trying to blend with her coworkers so she ideally wouldn't go for a too advanced phone that could blow her cover? That's my hypothesis anyway🙈

The accident/ Lin's love starts in 2011. We are currently somewhere around in 2013 or so.
