Looks like Nie father is sick and Lin is going to save his life.
Ooooh this would be the best serving of Karma. To be saved by your nemesis. Would he even let Lin look at him seeing as the dad is so paranoid about him? 🤭
I was quite annoyed when Lin Yusen in ep 27 said he’s going back to the medical field but then he said “I…
He might not be ready just yet to change his speciality? All he ever talks about is his scalpel and it’s only been barely 2 years compared to his 10+ years worth of preparation. Healing is a slow process. While he feels “whole” now, he might still not be ready to let go of his dream of being a neurosurgeon.
He did mention part of the reason why he joined the company again was for revenge afterall. Now that there’s no motivation, he is just ready to start again in the medical field.
He’s her cousin’s tutor. They spent quite sometime together because of this since before moving to the dorm,…
Not sure TBH since I kind of FF through the first 3 episodes.
I went through the episode where XG talks about ZX with Lin now. I made a mistake - 6 months was in the novel. In the drama it’s different. She met ZX shortly after the banquet while on her Winter break (so should be between late Jan 2011 - Feb 2011). The next scene where she drives back to the uni is a year later (March 2012 based on the time stamp on her text message). Since XG confessed to ZX somewhere shortly before December 2011, she must have moved into the dorm during the course of the year.
His reasoning for being mad is because he got into a crash on his way to see her, and she didn't even call him…
He gets better 🤭 At the moment he’s restraining himself since even he can’t believe he is still willing to try again.
I must mention though, their flirting style is very corporate so be prepared for many jokes revolving around target markets and interest (amongst other econ101 terms)🙈
Watching ep 27 now and it baffles me that she is supposed to be a college graduate but still acts like a child…
Curfew - it’s an Asian thing. It doesn’t matter how old you are, the parental units (even aunts and uncles) can get a little antsy when you are in a new relationship - specially with girls at 22.
In XG’s case, they aren’t trying to control her with it though since they trust her. It’s just them playing the role expected from them (essentially the mum and aunt are teasing her while low key protecting her- the uncle is more serious.
God, I'm so stupid. I just realized the drama is set in 2013. I'm on episode 25, and the lecture scene is going…
The drama is tricky since they don’t give obvious prompts unlike with most dramas. It took me also till their Shanghai girls’ trip to finally realize the date through Lin’s car registration sticker 🙈
Ok so am I the only one disappointed about the first kiss? My expectations were up there I expected a more passionate…
It’s their first kiss ever since neither of them have been in a relationship before . It would be strange if they turn out to be kissing experts on their first try 🙈
kinda confused with the timeline. did fl meet sml because he was the cousins tutor or because dorm mates childhood…
He’s her cousin’s tutor. They spent quite sometime together because of this since before moving to the dorm, she used to live with her cousin. They met in Mid 2011 (approx 6 months after Lin saw her).
Edit : It should be between late Jan 2011 - Feb 2011 after the banquet Lin saw her since she met ZX during Winter break. 6 months is from the novel.

Honestly it's only for 3-4 episodes max since the more he interacts with her, he can't resist her charm and he also realizes that he might be missing some critical details from the events after the accident since she's nothing like the one who abandoned him.
Even his "bullying" is honestly tame compared to other dramas. Since XG is very direct, she confronts him before things escalate.
Personally I like the MC in "Shine on me" since they are actually quite mature and aren't really tropey. They don't drag misunderstandings/ nor do they fall for others lies. But at the same time, they are still gopfy in their own way 😊

In ep 27 they implied that Lin might join a prestigious research group with one of his former professors. But nothing is confirmed atm.
