She is excellent here. She is portraying a charming, but inexperienced person, who learned how to be a hard worker…
Damn the lore behind the drama is even more entertaining πππ
Plagiarism is a huge allegation so I'm surprised they even allowed the drama to continue - I mean seeing as how controlling they are?π
Lost Romance - how do you find these dramas?? It sounds interesting!!!
Shine on me- it gets better after ep 5. ML's scenes mostly involve him brooding and being frustrated since the FL has no memory of him while he on the otherhand nearly died trying to go for a blind date with her years ago. Think Lovely Runner original timeline only the ML is the one who got permanent injuries (he used to be a neurosurgeon) while the FL has no memory of him due to reasons not disclosed yet. Acting wise, I don't uave any concerns with the ML so far except I feel like he's frowning way too much (his thick eyebrows kind of highlight it even more). Jin Mai on the other hand is bubbly as always. SML and SFLwill probably give a migrain soon enough and the corporate sidestory is skippable for nowπ π π
Ep 13 is quite weak ngl but it's mainly because the ep 13 preview had too many important spoilery scenes so there…
Haha I think MDL ironically helped me enjoy episode 14. Since I saw all the amnesia jokes, I expected the worst. But it was actually kind of funny so it was fine. SU and HY's final scene helped alot too since this was the only unpredictable scene.π
Ep 12 and 13 were quite uneventful for the most part since it was too predictable π
Da Rim's mum's comment reminds me of how convictsβ mothers behave in kdramas. They know their kids are terrible but they still find an excuse to protect them.
have you watched...when life gives you tangerinesour unwritten seoulyou and everything else?
You shouldn't watch it for the romance.
It's basically the trials of friendship. A bit like BWS's Soulmate? Only in this case they are twin souls. The two friends have a special connection but their envy for eachother's lives, misunderstandings, and life keep getting in the way.
It's hauntingly beautiful at times but frustrating as well. Romance wise, I actually ended up skipping the romance episodesπ
Haha it's a joke. Since SU is there to fill in the childhood thrope, there's no need to add JH as one too. They never even brought up DR's experience during the picnic.
She could have been joking? They seemed genuinely close seeing as SU didn't have his usual constipated look.
Hehe I can see it happening (a happy naggy life)π€π€π€
I agree. SU looked way too comfortable. He's softening now. HY is much younger than anyway so it's not like she's wasting her youth away. She's investing in a real love rather than forcing SU into something he will regret later π₯²
but didn't that have a lot to do with the story, because he had to believe she was married? When he found out…
Exactly. You can't force someone - specially "ep1" Ji Heuk into believing in their love. I mean is it really that hard for the audience to stomach her reasoning? Even the comments section kept saying that it's unrealistic for a guy like JH to fall so deeply so soon. So would ep 1 JH believe it? Even if he did, would he seriously want that kind of life without living through that context?π
Also eventhough the debt potion that affected Da Rim and her mum has been solved we don't know the real extent. The sister and husband might have taken other loans/ scammed others before using up the family savings/ home as collateral. Da Rim's objective was only to save the house, escape the loan sharks, and save her mum. Not to clear all the sister's debt.
It's me... Spoilers please.1. What episode do they get together.2. Any breakups (which episode and for how long).3…
Something good- the side characters.
Usually I'm only invested in the main couple but with this drama I found myself enjoying and even sympathizing with majority of the side characters. The SFL specially took me by surprise since ep 1 promised the typical selfish spoilt princess type but her true self blew my mind (not to dynamite levels thoughπ€£). Even when she did certain questionable things, I still couldn't help rooting for her as an individual.
All the mothers in the drama too were really wholesome unlike typical toxic K-mums. Some of them had their flaws (at least at one point in their life) but their character development was handled really well.
One tip: the experience is better if you watch the drama through all 4 lead characters' perspectives. Specially in Da Rim's case since majority of her true feelings are shown through very subtle guestures (almost like hints and clues) instead of the loud approach that was used with JH.
Ep 13 is quite weak ngl but it's mainly because the ep 13 preview had too many important spoilery scenes so there was nothing surprising.
Ep 14 is fine depending on who you ask. It's tropey and a bit unserious compared to the serious tone they had during ep 3-9. But the final conclusion is satisfying depending on who you ask.
Honestly it depends on what you enjoy about the drama and K-romcoms in general.
Yes, HY's actress did a brilliant job. She truly brought the character to life. The second couple's ending isn't really that bad. It's just at the beginning of the drama (ep 2 or so), most viewers thought the second couple was guaranteed like in Business Proposal but it wasn't the case.
I personally don't mind that they got an open ending and am just glad that they are happy and xlearly close.

For the sister's sake I hope she left him.

I guess on the bright side we at least got a mock "first look" thanks to the engagement and gala dress scenes.
It was always going to tropey but at least they added their own interpretation to it.
You will (probably) love the mums. Her story is sad but she gets a good redemption arc (all the mums really).
