I need someone to explain why Haoming acted the way he did in the period before Yan asked for a divorce - rejecting…
Yes I am on the same boat..... of trying to understand why he would throw back her attempt at reconciliation in her face when he claimed to have always loved her.... I mean that scene when she was eating steak and crying and he watched her is brutal. It will take a lot for me to forgive him for that
Especially since we now also know he wasn't hung up on his ex or anything like that. Like literally nothing was stopping him from being sincere to her from that point forward.
Viki seems to have 16 episodes so far (I am watching on wetv - since for Lusi shows I always subscribe, but usually…
ohhhhh, no I don't unfortunately, I know in some parts of the world it was picked up by Netflix (but thats not global). But I know other folks have mentioned other platforms in comments below
Where do you guys watch this? It's not on viki and I don't have a wetv subscription...

Not me rewatching the first episode trying to understand HM's logic
XY: Do you love me? HM: of course XY: What do you love about me? HM: everything
sir.... what do you mean????? 🤡 do you mean you love nothing about her, and everything was just a convenient flippant answer? since you said you couldn't love her after knowing she's a fraud... 😭
HM tells her when she's trying to reconcile with him after cooking him dinner, he says "you are a superb actress,…
But the way it was all orchestrated I feel like he pushed her to lie about her parents by bringing her home knowing his mom was going to make her feel inferior and make it very obvious with her social standing she had zero chances of marrying him. So it was almost as if she was backed into a corner to be with him, and he was testing how far she will go and how committed she was to getting access to his money and power....
I am also now wondering if what he meant is she 'thought' she had him fooled but he wasn't and that there was no chance in hell he will be fooled 'again'.
But you are right, it is possible there is a period time when they were dating he may have had hopes about their relationship in another way? (I wish we got to see how he asked her out)
For those of you who watched episode 14 (I will add my question in the comment - marked spoiler lol)
HM tells her when she's trying to reconcile with him after cooking him dinner, he says "you are a superb actress, but you can only fool me once"......
When did she fool him? From my understanding ever since she's tried to get an interview with him for her food show, he's done background research on her before deciding to date her... so exactly when did SHE fool him?
I am caught up. When Haoming stayed with Haochen all night in ep 13, I felt he was hiding from Xu Yan because…
Yeah... maybe after Mr.Fang mentioned his daughter he had some regrets towards how he is treating Haochen and how that would have been perceived by his older love. And also maybe reminiscing of the life he could have had with her?
OMG episode 14!!!! Lusi's performance was so riveting!!! I always found her to be highly talented but now I AM…
I feel like her agency has been putting her in questionable roles, and keeping interesting scripts and actors away from her - because they know she's a cash cow. Her fans will show up and watch anything she's in, and because of her calibre of acting she can pull off a lot of scripts. And she goes out of her way to find ways to make a drama successful from recruiting supporting actors, resources, wordrobe etc.
Love's ambition director went to her directly bypassing her agency which is why I am sure we even got this masterpiece with her and WC.
There is a saying that men value beauty, while women value resources. I think for Haoming - finding her really is perfect, she is stunning, smart, vulnerable (he can exploit her past and her lies), kind at heart, ambitious, and can be a good society wife for him. In his mind its a transactional relationship, she gets his resources, connections, success and money (since its what he thinks she wants), and he gets her, a perfect wife who can advance his career. Even though he dislikes her morally grey character, he does like things about her and he thinks they are in the same boat - secretly using each other.
When the lies are all exposed his character becomes quite cold, and I see people who had said he didn't want her to confess her lies because then he might fall for her for real. I am guessing he is still holding on to his first love a bit and has no interest in romance.....
Very complex indeed. I will enjoy watching XY throw everything back in his face, and watching him realizing what he lost.
Especially since we now also know he wasn't hung up on his ex or anything like that. Like literally nothing was stopping him from being sincere to her from that point forward.
He IS an idiot.
