finished Ep 7 and i am an emotional mess . i already predicted the truth about Jun's "accident" since the beginning but i still cried my eyes out when the brothers had that conversation. I resonate with Jun' s character in many ways so the kitchen scene felt so intimate yet poignant, seeing how they went through alot but kept it hidden inside and it finally poured out. I was in pain again seeing the monologue from Jun's side; how much he truly loved his brother and coming to realize he ultimately wants to live. which makes the funeral scene even more heartbreaking. I just love this drama it knows how to portray bonds between people and the mundanities of life in such a beautiful manner.
this comment section pissing me off. many of you are dense as hell. either that or you're acting dumb on purpose. because WHY am i seeing people hate on dongmin and blame him?? did we skip through the part where his own grandma literally gets threatened? dong min was right, life is not a fairytale. You do not stand up for your friend and expect the crowd to clap for you and all problems magically disappear coz you were a hero and the bullying stops. It could get even worse for him and put his grandma in danger. it's a lot to take in for a CHILD. He doesn't even know how to fight and he has zero connections but most importantly he obviously feels very guilty for framing hae seong. he is aware of himself.
and some here saying dongmin deserves to be bullied.. just ridiculous. the mindset that anyone "deserves" to be bullied is literally why bullying exists in the first place. because the bullies think their target deserves it, for them it justifies it. the way some of y'all hating on dong min more than on taesoo himself.... lmao... i know what you are.
He's a totally normal person to anyone who's not uptight about consenting adults having one night stands. He's…
it's not the one night stand we find an issue with, it's him being extremely agreeable. and yes that's an existing bad trait. niceness comes with setting real boundaries and respect, not saying "yes" to everything or being nonchalant to every request. him giving an emotionless reaction to the break up and then sleeping with another woman the same night is a red flag. In EP 4, it's implied more that he is a playboy; dated multiple times and broke girls hearts (he will probably have a redemption arc tho since he's SML) but that's not niceness lmfao.
I see My Sweet Mobster in your list, where the male lead is seven years older than the female lead, which is a…
Not surprised at all. People don't blink an eye when it's the man who is older even if the age gap is 7+ years but if the woman is older, suddenly it's "odd". like please be honest with yourselves
i love the chemistry between the main couple, they're super cute and that autograph moment was wholesome. there's smth comforting abt having a person who supports your hobbies and do things like that for you.
i have one issue with this drama tho and i just wish the ML wasn't so disrespectful sometimes 😭 like i get this is a typical chaebol x employee trope but i still dislike it. like when he told her to bring back the dress and basically called her broke, that was so uncalled for. i get that he has trauma and insecurities but that still doesn't excuse him talking down on her just because he thinks "she's the same as the others". there were some moments where the FL was rude too so i hope in future eps we get a scene where they sincerely apologize to each other, and for the past too. I feel like a scene like that is needed in order to keep a healthy relationship and I hope it being a romcom won't mean we will be robbed from seeing it
didn't expect the ballet girl story to be this dark and the show playing it as a comical 'spooky' story for half of the ep really left a bad taste in my mouth ngl
"Your chest is flat. What's there to flutter?" - "What the heck is an AW?" "Weren't they saying awww because you're cute?" "Why am I even asking you? Bye"
im convinced most people in this kdrama are definitely not human because what do hou mean Ga Min and Han Ul fly…
the show is adapted from a webtoon and they stayed faithful to the exaggerated nature of it as a tribute to webtoons. there's many anime references in the show too. so altogether it's like a love letter to martial arts and comics. that's the charm and style of it and it's very intentional.
kjhgffrf sorry the phrase i used is a popular meme. yes there are disturbing examples of that in real life and obviously it's immoral and never justified. there's also like a whole side of "true crime" community who stans criminals just because they're good looking, it's very sickening.
but someone calling a fictional villain handsome will never and ever be compared to real life. villains are loved all the time in fiction because of the storytelling elements, it's not smth to be made a big deal out of.
