I'm not too keen on Witch's Romance's plot but I love Park Seo Joon and I'm so happy to see him on a lead role! I guess I'll put my tastes aside for a bit and check the drama out eventually.
worth watching or wasting time?
wanna know?gggrgrggrgrgrg
The writing tends to be messy; the OTP was badly handled since the beginning, in my opinion; there are a lot of the typical exaggerated plot devices (people dying at the hands of the villains, birth secrets, female lead being dumbed down constantly to make things work); uninteresting secondary characters and well, 5 episodes being cut off should also be a sign that something didn't go as planned.
You'll only know if you check it out, but it's not exactly a masterpiece so far.
Apparently it has been confirmed that the drama will end with 110 episodes. I've already submitted the info here…
Maybe the Olympics messed up the plan for 110 episodes and now they have to go for 108... I guess the next drama is already lined up to start as soon as possible? :/
Btw, I've been wondering, can't we change the name of the drama here to 'King's Daughter, Soo Baek-hyang' instead? I know it's already listed as one of the aka's but it's pretty generally known everywhere else as KD's SBH rather than The Daughter of the Emperor. I think it would be pratical that way.
Confessions (the movie mentioned on the Recommendations) is ultimately a much better movie in all acounts: visuals, directing, execution, script, pacing.
In this movie the message is still there, but unlike Confessions, it's not a very intense watch which ends up dragging it down.
Does anyone know who Ha Na ends up with? I really want her to get with Yoon Chan and NOT Do Hyun. If anyone knows…
I'm still on episode 15, but from what I gathered it seems Do Hyun might be the lead. Idk, it's both a feeling that I have and the feedback from the media.
But I'm all for Yoo Chan as well, despite still being on the early stages of the drama.
Watching ep 33 - I am getting tired of waiting for lightning to strike down on either Moon Do or Nan Cho - these…
@KamZ - agreed on everything. MY's grandma, mother and aunt are a bunch of hypocrites, it hurts to even watch - how dare they be so fake towards YJ?! Did they forget they basically called her a good for nothing girl who was not ~worthy~ of their son/grandson? Just bc they found out who was her dad, now all of a sudden she is the best girl ever, poor thinggg. This drama is just ridiculous but I'm not gonna drop it. (2014 resolution)
Also blessss you for talking about Se Kyung. What a freaking random and useless character who's even more annoying than everyone else combined. I hate when they pull this nonsense of bringing these ~awesome and witty characters to make up for stupid plotlines (YJ and SH's wedding). Ugh. No.

Just submitted the info :)
What do you think?

I read it on the drama's soompi thread :( Apparently they aired a NG Special/BTS today and because of the Olympics, episode 20 ends next week.
I'm not really that eager for any new dramas - just yet (maybe for Three Days). But I do plan on watching Good Years.
The only thing I want from this drama is for Sun-jeong to be happy in the end.
(what's worse than an open ending :c)

Thank you for the heads up :)

(We should start prayer circling.)
