lol this drams is funny and I for one hsve no qualms with the Lead actors age difference we see it in real life…
Very good point, @hadassa. Trust me, if this were a Noona Romance drama nobody would have a problem with their age gap. And that fact is, imo, very problematic.
Man someone get Mi Kyung a therapist. Even if her husband cheated and doesn't feel sincerely sorry about it, trying…
It can definitely start feeling too much with Mi Kyung.
I'm excited to watch Park Seo Joon mostly - at first, his role as her brother seemed too 'normal', but now with the mystery I hope he has more to work with! He has a lot of potencial as an actor. I also love his banter with Eun Jin's sister. Although, I guess it might complicate the main conflict further, if those two get more involved. Except for the affair, they are the next link between the families (or might be).

Very interesting perspective :) I'm still testing the waters a bit with this drama. I don't like 'cheater' stories that much, but at the same time this drama kinda pulls you in. I just hope they don't exaggerate on Mi Kyung's characterization. She's essentially the only one here that didn't do anything wrong and is suffering quite a bit, despite doing some questionable things afterwards.
I also like the mystery that's going on. I bet MK's younger brother has something to do with Eun Jin's stalker(s).

I don't know if it's just my interpretation of things or not, but it seems they are making Mi Kyung a crazy woman looking for revenge, just to make the other characters more sympathetic? Especially Jae Hak and Eun Jin. For me, Mi Kyung was the only one I felt sorry for, initially.

Kind of? :D They have awesome chemistry, it's more than approved for me :P And you are totally right, the criticism this age gap is getting is total nonsense because in real life there are more than enough cases of older men being happily married with younger women. The parents of one of my friends have a 15 year old age difference (the Dad is the oldest) and they have been married for more than 20 years.
Sigh, whatever really, this drama is awesome so far, that's what matters in the end :')
The synopsis reminds me of Reply 1997. I'm going to watch it for sure ^^
EJ_101: yes it is! If you don't like twdrama maybe because of the overacting or some of their usual exaggerated elements, this drama has none of it. It's very simple, yet very rich both in plot as well as the characters. Try the first episode and see for yourself :)
That first review mentioning A Gentleman's Dignity is actually quite ironic because there's a main pairing there that has a 19 year old age gap (played by Kim Min Jong and Yoon Jin Yi). So, I don't get why that drama is such an example of ~age appropriate~ relationships and why should Prime Minister and I follow its footsteps. Whatever that means ;)
Oh and those two from AGD were the only couple from that drama to win a Best Couple Award last year... You know, just for the record and everything.
The last segment was very Michel Gondry-esque, wasn't it.
This movie is a bit random, a bit underperformed; the first story was dull, the second was kind of cute (I like CNBLUE so maybe that's why) but lacking in plot and the last part had Baek Jin-hee, who is always a delight to watch. Very forgettable.
anywhere else other than viki to watch this? I just can't take the ads! ugh!
You're welcome :) Only licensed channels over at Viki have constant ads playing during the episodes. Fan channels which get the videos from youtube don't have them. Enjoy!
Isn't it a little offputting how evil the younger sister is? I can't bear watching the drama because she too much.…
Your feelings are understandable since Seolhee gets more evil with each episode, but that's the whole foundation of the drama: the fact that Seolnan's identity as Princess Su Baek Hyang was stolen by her own sister, driven by jealousy and greed. I sure hope SH gets to pay for what she did, although it being a 100+ drama I guess we have to be more patient and wait for the outcome of the storylines.
But this drama is so much more than just that, I reckon looking at the bigger picture is what makes this drama so wonderful. There are other things going on and so far the writing's been really good. I hope you eventually get back to it :)
This drama sure loves to take things to extremes. The angst, the prejudices, the irritating characters - Subak and the Mom. Doesn't stop being an addictive drama but at the same time it never does things softly, that's for sure.
some people say this drama is really bad and Seo Woo have a plastic face which affect the drama. Should I belive…
Very well said, NewKDramaAddict! This drama is seriously killing it in every way.
I'm also particularly fond of Seo Hyun Jin and Jo Hyun Jae's chemistry :)
Regarding Seo Woo: there's nothing wrong with her acting ; she's also doing a great job. Whatever she's been doing to her face over the years is not affecting the drama's quality at all.
Yes. It's one of my little disappointments with this drama: the lack of development for the supposed main love line. I do like the friendship between the girls. I think jdramas are really good at portraying female relationships, like in this case.
The drama has some good points though; it's definitely better now (around episode 7) than on the first few episodes. It lost the cheesy factor of Looking Up to The Sky and Smile, at least. I like when the drama focuses on the vulnerable aspects of the characters, rather than on the heroic notions.
The main guy is 43 and she is 23 !!!! How am i Supposed to watch it!!
So, it would be okay to have this age gap but only the boy was younger? Okay...
I understand your opinion, but I find it very unfair. In this particular case, Lee Bum Soo is a fantastic actor who has awesome chemistry with his co-stars (not to mention an awesome Sunbae for Yoona to work with!).
From the preview for episode 1, our two leads seem to already have a very natural and fun chemistry going on. I respect people's opinions and all, but judging this drama because of their age gap AND before it's even airing is, like I said, unfair to both leads.

But the videos there are from youtube, I don't think you'll see adds like on the 'regular' channels/videos.
