I rarely rewatch episodes but episode 37 was just so awesome I had to!
That particular La Femme Nikita inspiration/reference on that scene between Solnan and the Crown Prince was to die for. I don't know if writernim was inspired or not by Nikita, but extra points for him/her :D
I'm so glad this is a daily, not only because we basically get new episodes every day but also because it's doing wonders in terms of pacing. It never slows down! Just finished episode 34 and wow <3
I don't want to jinx it but this is my favorite drama airing right now.
I'm actually really loving this drama but if I had to point out the most aggravating thing about it is definitely the obsession with redeeming the manipulative, scheming second female lead - Jia Yu in this case. It's really not a problem with Just You in particular, because a LOT of dramas in this genre tend to forgive and forget the serious things some characters do, but JY is overdoing it a bit.
I was hoping she would be gone before the final episode but it's obviously not happening now. In the end, she's going to get away with her thoughts of stabbing and asfixiating Liang Liang...
I hate dramas with intense love triangles , with losing ur love for someone else ... so is this drama has this…
To be honest, no. Giant doesn't feature any major love triangles. Although, the Mi-joo/Min-woo ship is a bit angsty after certain events happen between them.
But if you're afraid of those irritating triangles we often seen on dramas, this one doesn't have it.
Actually Tezuka Haru is the only character in drama I don´t like...and it´s a writer´s mistake...sorry, but…
Agreed. And I find the main group of characters (the students) so uninteresting. The drama lacks energy and a bit of passion. The only character I like is Saito Takumi's, but he's been terribly underused. Still hoping this will pick up somehow, otherwise all episodes will have the same formula and it'll be a very ordinary drama in the end.
What's Up is probably one of the best in the school-musical genre (well, the best in my opinion) yet it's so very underrated and unknown. I adore it to bits and pieces, it's unfair that the bts stuff ruined its potencial.
Lee Da Hae's situation still confuses me. So, her character was supposed to be paired up with Song Seung Hun's character or? But at that point even before she left, I don't see how they could do it? Or when, exactly. What about Young Ran (Lee Yeon Hee)? Her character was a big part of it all since the start, I think.
Whatever happened, I'm going to be honest: I didn't like Lee Da Hae's character so it didn't bother me that much.
I'm finally picking this back up today after having dropped it after 8 episodes while it was airing and am now…
I agree with you, truly. He is possibly one of the creepiest second male leads ever. Seriously, his actions were waaaay out of line. Not only he was manipulating her emotionally (ever since they were kids tbh), but he actually used physical violence and tried to force himself on her. There's nothing romantic about that, not to mention she was already a sexual abuse victim - and he knew it. There's no excuse for his behaviour.
Him ending up on that hospital was actually a good ending for him. At least the drama didn't 'redeem' him and actually aknowledged the guy had serious issues.
I loved the serenity of this drama. It was slow-paced but very well written and executed. I usually love the marriage contract trope and this one had a different twist and motive behind, which made it even more interesting. I don't think it's exactly a romance like it says on the genres, although it is romantic in a subtle way - it's impossible to truly label this wonderful drama. It's about family, fighting for those we love, wanting to live. But most of all is about human relationships and the way our lives connect. A must watch!

Edit: oh, you found it already :) anyways, my reply might be useful for those who are looking for the movie.
