I hate all the characters so far. The main couple so far makes me so angry. Stop being so clingy and don't make…
Same here. The only reason I'm not dropping this drama just yet it's to see if Jae Min and Ha Kyung start having more scenes together and their relationship starts developing. They're the only thing I enjoy about this drama so far.
I still don't know if I'm going to write a review or not, but the only thing that truly TRULY left a bitter taste…
Yes. I think this story had two options: make Yoona come back WAY earlier than she did, in order to have the same development than the rest (or at least to be fair to MHee, no?); or simply have Yoona never come back. Make her go to America, stay there, sign the divorce papers and let MHee carrying on with being the lead. If she ended up with HS, well, they STILL could of had a nice relationship regardless of whatever.
Wow writer, you made MHee the Team Leader. That's really great, but it doesn't cover up the fact that she was mistreated as a character since the beginning and then it hit rock bottom when Yoona returned as the prodigal child of the drama. As if.
Please tell me there's going to be a season 2 or a special :D I just finished it and while I found the finale entirely awesome, it feels like this is not the end. What Would Hanzawa Naoki Do, tbh.
I still don't know if I'm going to write a review or not, but the only thing that truly TRULY left a bitter taste in my mouth was Yoona and how she didn't deserve anything of what she got - from all pov's: narrative, tragectory, relevance.
A characer that's only a plot device to create an encounter and consequent plot development between our OTP, disappears for more than half of the drama and then comes back, becomes a Fairy Godmother and is in love with the husband she always denied and treated very badly. How convinient. Oh, spare me, drama! I haaaaate it when characters get rewarded with things they didn't 'fight' for and Yoona got everything without doing nothing for it, while MHee got essentially nothing (especially a full blown feeling of happiness!) and eventually had to accept her frustrating life and bitter destiny. HS's not blameless, but Yoona's case is just infuriating.
I wished I had seen this drama sooner, because the machinations and the dragging towards the middle really bothered me (I was more torelant before). I didn't grow (that) attached to it, but the lead couple is very endearing and has tons of chemistry. Makes me wish the rest of the plots had been as good as the lead's general tragectories. Still liked it better than My Girl, though.
Why was the poster changed? The old one where all the main characters were present was much better and describes…
The older one was a LQ screencap from an earlier preview. I agree I'd like to see everyone there, but that cap in particular wasn't very good either :/ in terms of quality, I mean.
I have to ask because it was weird. at the end of episode 10 when the nurse is talking to iris. She says"…
That nurse is played by Sato Aiko, the actress who played Aihara Kotoko on the 1996 version of Itazura na Kiss (the first adaptation).
She was going to say 'Irie-kun', because that's basically what her character kept saying: his name - this same 2013 version also says it a lot during the drama. It was also essentially saying that that Nurse might still be the original Kotoko. It was a nice callback and a bit of a sweet treat for the fans of the story, using her cameo.
Is it just me or is Mong Hee going to end up with... no one ? How the hell is it possible for the main lead to…
Totally, though. Her screentime and relevance to the overall plot decreased a lot ever since she stopped being the "leading lady", in terms of the romance. It's sad, really, I like her way more than Yoona.

You're probaly right regarding the reasons why the storyline wasn't solid or consistent. But still, it's frustrating. Like I've said on another comment, I was never an active HS/MHee shipper but it's quite confusing to watch a storyline go downhill like this one did. Regardless of why it happened.
Hyuntae and Monghyun are indeed the only reason I didn't drop this back when episode 4 or 5 first aired and they're why I've stuck with this drama for all these months. I'm happy they slowly got their happy ending but at the same time this drama could have been better, from a general point of view. Around episode 30 or so things started to get a bit... blurry in terms of tragectory, imo. We'll see how the final episodes go.

I agree with Junolyn. The writer knew what she was dealing with, therefore she should have thought about HS/YN before developing MH/HS. It might be a question of morals - I don't wanna get into that basically because it's a very personal subject - but the writer should have known, since the very first minute, what she was dealing with and the consequences. There should be at the very least some draft or, heck, some little plan written on a napkin, of what the story is about and how it will unfold.
So, you're telling me that Oguri Shun is in a new drama, and his death is part of the very beginning of the story?…
Yes - like I said before the drama started, he appears in flashback sequences and one dream sequence, if I remember correctly. There is one or two episodes where I think he doesn't appear at all - but he appears in all the remaining ones. He's a pretty central character, even though he plays the Dead Husband. If you want to watch this for him: go for it, his scenes are stellar, despite being short. Plus, the whole drama's great too.
Greeeeat article :) I love dramas from the early/mid-2000s. I've only seen Couple or Trouble from that list (my favourite Hong sister's drama so far) but I have Bad Family here sitting for so many months already, I might as well give it a try!

I do think it's gonna happen, yes. She'll maybe be a sucessful designer but that's it. Which is not bad but... IMO, the writer made an absolute mess out of the Yoona/Monghee/Hyunsu plotline and now she has no other choice but to try and makes us believe that HS and Yoona are 'in love' since the beginning. They won't get divorced and they'll have a pretty happy ending, no matter how unbelievable that might sound. I don't buy it at all, but their marriage apparently was a very healthy one *eyeroll*. I was never a very active HS and MHee shipper but I somehow feel cheated. Because they were built up and developed for so many episodes and now Yoona gets to get away with her initial behaviour AND guess what, she loves HS after all!
Plus, SE's redemption (a very sloppy one but still) is also no longer in use because she went back to how she was before. Sigh.
Did the ending suggest they may bring out a third dorama involving Saki?
This is terribly late and random, but I just finished this drama I read a theory that Saki might be a prequel to Utsukushii Rinjin and not a sequel, like everything would suggest. It might be confusing in relation to the timeline and the dates, but on UR she did have a child.

Anyways, only two more episodes!
