Everytime i watch chinese dramas based in Shanghai before the ccp revolution i get why the communists won the support of the people. Imagine the whole country in extreme poverty, farmers treated like cattle by landlords, warlords taking over regions, western forces influencing things.... Then we have the wealthy that liked going abroad to study and lived in opulence. I'm curious to see how they will portray the war in this drama.
