The editing is so messy, hope they relax next season. I wonder if this season is doing better than s6 and s7. Because if it is, they will continue with this dramatic editing.

I think what i'm missing the most this season is unity between them. I only watched S6 and S7 but those seasons had such a great vibe between the participants. They were competing betwwen themselves but still acted like family. This season is way too competitive and tense between some of them. They need to chill a little.

Yes it is. It premiered on cctv8 and before it even finished it was announced to air on cctv1. This is the type of drama that does better on tv but it was also topping yunhe views for currently airing dramas. Sword Rose is a dual platform drama, so very hard to break 10k or 30k heat index. The views are not concentrated on a single platform and more audience on traditional tv. This is actually the best performing drama in China right now.

Maybe it's a cultural difference but in my country they visit the house, interview the couple etc. It's not a fast process even for stable parents. That's why i'm also suspicious.

It actually has more watchers than a few crime dramas and chinese slice of dramas that i watched. Some drama pages i participated in, i was litteraly talking to 5 people max. Serious cdramas don't appeal to inter viewers.
