At episode 1 for example, when I watched it for the 1st time, ZZH as Tianchuang leader with that attire and hairstyle, I thought "aaaaah.... it's gonna be another Legend of Yunxi male lead style". But turns out ...... NOPE! I was wrong!! later on little by little he introduces different layers and different sides of ZZS and voila! I'm in the blackhole. LOL

I used to think like that as I'm a fan of TGCF myself but now I don't see him fitting the role anymore because HC character isn't rich enough for him to expand his acting ability. Also HC role is too visual and the character isn't deep enough for GJ. I would like to see GJ accepting role as villain in psychological thriller or witty double side character because I see his potential. Looking at the current rumor casting status, TGCF would be another idol/oushang bl adaptation drama imho.
We as viewers already feel so emotional when saying goodbye to the drama and its character, I can't imagine how…
It's not just 4 months because apparently no one expecting people to watch the drama and love the character. They came from literally humble (or even zero) expectation and suddenly it blew up. They even didn't expect the fame they are having right now because again WOH was listed in the bottom line with zero possibility of being big when YK announced TYK live adaptation back then. Even Gongjun himself said, back in January and early February, he didn't have any fix schedule after Chinese New Year, it was so empty and suddenly after WOH airing and people loves it and he got tons of works to do :'(
So for them, I don't think it's just the character, for them it's unforgettable character and drama they ever played.
