Well guys, over the years I've seen plenty of super Toxic mega annoying fandoms.....But this is the 1st time I've…
Oh gross 🤢 the response to your comment made me gag. It was an Asian man, defending and using female genitalia as cuss words. I have very little capacity for all of that. Blocked him. Hope it didn’t trigger you for long.
It's quite toxic to bury your head in the sand and disengage your common sense just because you think the perpetrator…
Oooh! Obtuse based on prejudice. Dig that sentiment. If we had the patience and open heartedness to examine this aspect in ourselves and with each other, we would truly live in a different world. Thanks for your perspectives 😅🔥
Fandoms set such a terrible example of being fans or anti-fans. Some people are extremely toxic in this community.…
I may be wrong, but I believe part of what sets people off while reading your comment is that the majority of people hanging around here these days have been reading, researching and taking a close look at the evidence at play for a while now. It points to at the very least clear grooming of a child whom he knew pre-puberty, that he then dated as a young adult, whilst first lying about it. Not a good look. It’s behavior that can be held accountable now, before any kind of criminal investigation. In saying that you want to wait for criminal charges it lands as invalidating of what folks are seeing clearly now, which is painful to sit with. Further, according to the then existing laws, his behavior was perfectly legal, although unethical and harmful. If it’s a criminal investigation we are waiting for, we may be sitting here for years only to see him acquitted and not held accountable.
I agree with you that i don’t like mob mentality, black and white thinking, and jumping to conclusions, vilifying people without due process. In this instance, i took my time in finding where i see things to be clear, and where we need more information. I wrote about it below somewhere today. More than justified, it is essential that if we are part of the community that supports these artists, we can also be part of the ethical response to abusive behavior. There is enough raw, publicly available evidence to look closely and draw the line for ourselves, which of course can be flexible as more becomes known. This is where I am at the moment. I will continue to stay open, but clear as to where my NO is…

I “hear” you and agree, it’s really very serious and many are rightly upset. This is one of the sickest, most repulsive aspects of human behavior. It runs rampant and goes largely unnoticed as many of us can’t stand to look in the belly of the beast. You and many here are doing just that. I can breathe a bit easier when i feel that, and there’s also a part of me that’s disgusted, nauseated and sometimes would like to turn away when it feels overwhelming. We respond the best way we can, also given the medium of communication. Wish you and all of us called to look at these things, to speak and to protect, lots of clarity and well being.

Yea, this is clear and i don’t disagree with you at all. I also read your words here as to the point, speaking to the actions that are absolutely not ok, and not getting sidetracked by things that are not important. Strong. This to me is not harmful and i love that we get to hear your voice in your way. Thanks for that.
“Victims” and in this case KSR also get hurt by the cyber confusion, and how we engage behind the veil of anonymity on internet forums. For me, it’s meaningful to look at how we do it, a bit at a time, along the way. To share what speaks to us as honestly as we can, and keep it moving, evolving…

What do you mean by the reason you agree? Not sure I follow what part you’re referring to…. I think it’s cool and justified to debate this position. The place i was calling attention to was when the convo strayed from discussion of the content to the personal jab of this person being bound by thinking the “perpetrator is hot”, which from where I am sitting got away from the intention.

I think what gave me pause was the statement about him being hot as a reason for having this stance, when we obviously don't know if that is the case (though it could be!). Of course, keep being authentic and doing it your way. Part of mine is this inquiry into how we choose to Fight, voicing when something doesn’t sit well in me. I’m not sure if we can have healthy discourse in these anonymous forums, but i am interested in finding out what else is possible, and how we can minimize human harm.

Anger is 💯 justified and healthy. As is setting things straight, calling out what is twisted, doing what we can out here in “da swamp” with the venomous snakes. 🐍 We don’t have to do it perfect, or even well, but i do get curious as to what happens if we begin to become aware of what forces we may be feeding with how we choose to engage. Just my thoughts. I of course get the frustration.

Wait…. Isn’t it an egregious assumption that this person is disengaging common sense because KSH is hot? I know we are all really upset, but I don’t believe ad hominen (personal) attacks will get us the results we seek. This is of course, just my opinion, take it as you will. If we learn to fight clean we will be the answer to that very toxicity we wish to eradicate. If we don't it’s still ok, we get to stimulate that fight response, but i question whether it will lead to change (or even self reflection)… 🤔 🤷🏽♀️ 😮💨
Where are all the reports of Gold Medalist's clients leaving that agency for somewhere else? I wonder what they…
Ugh 😣 I would hate to be in their shoes right now. They will be damned for staying, but who really knows how difficult it must be and what legalities or practicalities might bind them. Also contractual limitations for speaking out.
Diverting a little, that’s why Lee El is such a bad ass with her precise comment that didn’t require her to get in the mud.
