one of my favorite shows!!! Ji Chang Wook ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️One thing...this seems to be the most…
watching it now and it seems to me that what she did here, is the basis of all her characters. she relies on this cute realism, and due to the age and the way this character was written it shines as really authentic in this particular drama. Her later works are a type of adaptation. She’s not really character actress, meaning really differentiates and defines her characters.

Ji Chan Wook as Clark Kent! (Bang Soo). Though Superman was the one wearing the glasses 🤓

it's actually not a kdrama it's an Hollywood drama because it's produced by themit just have Korea actor and even…
thanks! I hadn’t done the homework so I appreciate the background info. I guess there’s no sub group of Hollywood dramas here, so it needed a category.

guys, let's not forget makeup and styling can age you up, and many women "don't look 40"
But so many wonderful actresses in their 40s! Many of which work less now that they are not ingénues. Plus our idea of aging is totally skewed, and we have a hard time with how we look, based on these types of models and expectations 😢.

Oh yea, thanks. I will have to go back and see. I don’t remember that same physical reaction that I’m having now, except for during his fights.

hey, I am not sure what fight for my way has to do with this (which I have seen) 🤷🏽‍♀️. I’m talking about our female lead using “violence” (in ml’s words), towards the male lead. twice that I can remember in the two episodes. I am aware that this is supposed to be funny, specifically used as a means to laughter, but in my body it doesn’t land that way. It goes beyond play fighting to me, though of course not bloody or anything like that. I am contracting/flinching during those scenes, that’s all I’m saying. It’s not funny to me, but a hurtful, strange power dynamic. it was cute when she was a kid that she stood up for him! I’m just not feeling it as an adult relationship on equal terms. I believe that if it were a man towards a woman, or daughter towards her Mom it would no longer be funny, but it’s the same act. This is interesting, and would not at all dictate whether I would continue watching, which I will as I am enjoying everything else.

why I have this feeling that the FL quit her job and cancelled her engagement because she’s terminally ill and…
there was mention of her co-workers criticizing her “typical Korean” competitiveness and overworking. seems more along those lines. I half expect the ex fiancé to show up, but I don’t see him on cast list 😅

It felt too much even with k-drama standards. Made me dislike the first episode.
well, they actually called it violence in the episode. “why do you have to be so violent” kind of banter.

also it wasn’t just the mom, the daughter hit her friend as well.

I love, love, love the male lead—he's so handsome! The female lead is an amazing actress, and I'm looking forward…
oh, I just wrote about this. yea, my body flinches and contracts every time. I was raised in a culture where it’s “normal” but am now trained in human trauma and stress, and let’s call it what it is: abuse. there’s a certain amount of numbing we must do in our bodies to find this funny (freeze response). having something be what we are used to doesn’t make it ok. this is so hard for us to grasp in our super traumatized world.
