@monkeymarie - I agree. He should have put FL's feelings before his Ex. It maybe because he felt guilty - all this falling in love with FL happened way too soon. One day he was with his ex and the next day he is in love with the FL. You need to have a high emotional intelligence quotient to handle the mess, which I doubt our ML has.

I agree with your comment about FL. Her acting is very restrained and stiff. I had to drop two of her dramas because of it.

Not an unpopular opinion. Perhaps it is due to the way the ML's character is depicted, but he was the most uninteresting, nervous wreck of an individual (at least in the initial episode) that I have encountered. For once I would have been happy had there been no romance between the main leads.

I started watching the drama because of the FL, and initially, I did enjoy the drama. Somewhere around episode 6, I felt like the makers were dragging out the storyline. Anyway, I am still here, even though I am having trouble watching episode 8, or was it 9? Because I want to know how it ends. I also felt that the FL and the ML barely have any chemistry. I also like the SML more than the ML. Sigh.... I know he's going to be heartbroken or end up with the female cop.

Agreed. It becomes boring after the initial episodes. However, in my opinion, most dramas on MDL are overrated. The ratings seem to be based on the main leads rather than the story.

Very well-articulated review and your opinion syncs with mine. However, I am not a fan of the main characters and have not watched any of their previous dramas. In my opinion, I found the FL's acting to be extremely poor. The ML did look zoned out in some scenes, but he was still watchable. I dropped this drama mainly because it had no good story to tell and because I really could not stand the FL's acting and even the character she was playing.

I did not really like her in "A little thing called first love" but she was good in "Reset".

I was not aware that she used multiple shell companies to sign dual contracts. Having said this, considering the amount tax was evaded, she could have very well afforded a professional from a reputable firm. Anyway, it is what it is.

Filing tax returns requires financial acumen and qualifications. If she possesses these qualifications, then I suppose she should be held responsible. Judging by the number of dramas in which she has acted or that are in the pipeline, she appears to be too busy to delve into this kind of matter. It's highly likely she outsourced this service and relied on advice. I don't see why a person should be punished so severely that it completely ruins their life or livelihood. Why not just impose penalties and move forward? She is too young to fully grasp the intricacies of taxation. Anyway, just my 2 bits in this matter.... not her fan.... just stumbled on this news and found it crazy that careers are ruined bcoz of someone else's incompetencies.

I doubt she is the one who files her tax returns. The person responsible for filing her returns should be held accountable and not the actress.

I finally found the time to watch this drama, and I must say that Yang Mi looks much older than her age, while Xu Kai appears much younger! They seemed more like siblings than romantic partners. The FL had better chemistry with the second male lead (Tao Jun Hi) and should have ended up with him rather than the ML!
