I heard about that one! I think I will give it a shot — the poster is really pretty.
Haha, I doubt would even notice the hair thing! And I honestly might like that there is no fantasy element. I will definitely give it a try — thank you :)
THIS! I really liked how calm and conflict free their relationship was but it didn't make me feel anything. First…
Yes! While I like healthy couples and good communication I feel like there needs to still be conflict and disagreement for the communication to feel important. Where did you drop it? The third couple gets together pretty late so idk if you got there but other than that you didn't miss much 😅
omg yes!! I feel the same way. I had to watch the show in 2x the speed because it was so unnecessarily long (I…
Agreed! I also felt like the runtime was really long and the plots end up not feeling important. I was just hoping the build-up of their relationship would be much better because friends-to-lovers is my favorite trope :(
I was surprised because I'd watched both those dramas — Smile Has Left Your Eyes and SITR and I enjoyed both of them (SITR has one of the best chemistry I've ever seen). I definitely blame the writing for that because I felt like the actors could've done so well if they were given a melodrama to work with.
I’ve agreed with some of your other reviews but this one I totally disagree with. The drama had a lot of depth……
I'm glad it worked for you! To be clear, I'm not arguing against the idea that terminal illness affects your mental state at all. The actual plot itself is valid, I just wish the storyline wasn't used in this drama because I personally preferred the idea that her mental health was enough of a reason. Yes, people are going to complain — but they complain either way and I would just disagree anyways. A toxic workplace + burnout would've been enough of a reason and plot by itself.
And saying "romance would have been enough" doesn't mean that there are no side stories at all! I think we could've had more stories that were related to Seung-hyo's architecture firm, or Seok-ryu's cooking — there's a lot there that I wanted to see more of.
Agreed. While I felt it was needing to end by episode 12, the climax of the story happened too fast. It was like…
"It was like we spent the whole show waiting for the accident to happen but then never got to really heal from it" — such a perfect way of putting it! I definitely felt like we sped-run the climax and the ending and I just wanted a moment to breathe.
finally, someone i agree with😠and the way eungyeol didn’t get the closure that he derserves :) oh i hate…
Yes!! I definitely wish we had gotten some flashbacks to see how Eungyeol's new life played out since he probably had different childhood memories this time around — and Eunyu too, as we didn't get to see anything about her new life. :((
All i had to know is reading your review with the ML's acting and you recommending WIFWY to know that you're a…
I have never been one to follow who actors or care about real life pairings. A good actor will be able to make me forget that they are acting and this show was not able to do that. This show is similar to WIFTY not because of the FL but because both have bubbly FLs and quiet MLs, which is very common in youth cdramas but rarely done well. If you actually read the full review you would see that I also discussed dubbing (which I generally dislike), side characters, and plot in addition to the lackluster acting. If you liked the acting that's great for you but please don't diminish a review that I tried very hard to be objective for just because I recommended another drama that I found better.
I didn't read the webtoon and I ended up feeling disappointed by the drama owns logic. I wonder what could happen…
I just read your review and I agree especially about the car accident. The resolution was so sudden but in the webtoon there were about 2 more confrontations and the father protecting him is also shown better.
I actually liked that they incorporated Seoha into her first life...but now that ALL the other characters are there it's kind of too much for me :/ it feels like the drama is saying they were all fated to meet as opposed to Jieum choosing them
As someone who liked this drama. I like how you were at least respectful in your review ( Unlike most hateful…
Thank you! I definitely saw a bunch of troll reviews on this show and I hope they get taken down 😒 I can definitely see why people love the simplicity and even though I'm sad I didn't love it I'm glad you did.
This is my favorite kind of slow burn — I love watching the leads get to know each other and their conversations are so mature and open. Would def recommend if anyone is considering ^^
