i actually have been loving this drama so much, but ep11 and the whole way they went about haran finding out about the truth was so underwhelming - it made no sense that she could easily piece together that it was him texting just from knowing he was hyeok chan's roomate, and why have her be so cold and firmly refuse to hear him out at any point, only to panic and look for him when he did exactly what she asked of him? (to never show his face again) i also hate when things resolve in the last 15 minutes of a drama, they could have had haran find out a few episodes ago and have the final conflict be chan struggling with his health condition, so we could at least see them as a couple without any secrets between them, but they've chosen to do all that in the last half hour of the entire show... not only that, but i was super excited to watch the romance between hayeong and mr. yeon blossom, and i was surprised at how little screen time they got week after week, they had such a good backstory to build on and now we have one episode left with one major conflict to be resolved so i'm already giving up on them getting a satisfying story... at least hadam and yugyeom's storyline has been great - fully counting my blessings here
i love juniormark so much and i can tell they're doing their best with what they've been given but god is this show nonsensical and just... bad? what a waste of their great chemistry and acting
pls pls pls don´t give his dad a redemption arc like all other kdramas do. his dad was abusive and is the root of so many of his traumas, we must let characters live beyond their abusive families
this show is so interesting cos it really is fun to watch but god is it sooooo unrealistic like there’s NOTHING any of these men could EVER do to for me to forgive them 😭 idgaf about your background boy not even your mother is real like??!£:&@; i thought the scamming would be a lot minor or that it’d be revealed that pai knew about it all along, tim is way too deep into this lie for it to ever be forgivable (u and north are a whole different story, i just think north is too dumb for their story to make any logical sense and i’m kinda choosing to ignore them because it makes me mad lol even though i love poon and was really hoping i’d like his character)
i feel like it's been such a weak year for romcoms and this is saving it, it's so much fun!!!!! i'm surprised to see any sort of negative discourse about it, i think people are failing to understand that from jihyeok's perspective, darim is someone who ran away after bonding with him, pretending to be interested in him romantically and nearly having sex with him only to be in a commited marriage with a child waiting for her at home... she's not a good person in his head, and it makes it even worse when he had been looking for her ever since coming back and in his head she didn't even give him a thought and sees him as a fleeting affair, which is pretty demeaning. there is also a clear shift on how he treats her once he realises that this is not just a job for her, but a source of income that will help her very unfortunate situation, and you're somehow still calling him insufferable? a lot of you are forgetting that they did allegedly hire "the most incompetent candidates" and jihyeok is only taking on this position to help his own mother and intends to leave within the next 6 months, so his indifference towards their research is expected from a businessman character from a wealthy family like his. does that justify him throwing it in the pool? obviously not, but at the end of the day it was just a plot device to give them a romantic moment in the pool. this is very clearly not a serious drama lol all of these """sprouts of anger""" obviously just serve to contrast a romantic or comedic cliché that follows so you shouldn't be thinking to much about anything, it's meant to be a fun and light watch!
as an avid drama watcher of years it still baffles me how forgiving of unforgivable family members characters are in asian dramas... this man nearly killed his partner, who cares if he's his father after all he put him through??????? they need to introduce choosing yourself and protecting your own peace in these societies, i don't need redemption arcs for these characters
a bit annoyed cos i loved winnysatang in we are but as of right now i really can’t say i’m feeling any sort of romance between their characters on this show. i see on the preview that they’re gonna show attraction to one another on the next ep, but did they have to be absolute assholes to each other before that? i love enemies to lovers, but chill on the enemies part… they could’ve easily just had him tease wave and leave it at that but lava is honestly a dick to wave, i don’t even like them as friends :/ it doesn’t help that i also kinda hate peng and don’t really care for the doctor, so i’m kinda just holding out until i like at least one character on this show 😭
i can't believe it's over. this was SO disappointing lol i look back at the time i was so annoyed waiting for this to finally be released, if only i knew... this was just not good, unfortunately.
mind you i was there watching the whole altercation thinking “wasin is right lol kill the king idgaf 😟” did the writers really think the audience would be on the king’s side? it doesn’t help that i don’t really feel connected to any character on this show so i was apathetic throughout the entire scene
it just hit me that there is only one episode left. i'm so frustrated cos this whole time i've been waiting for pertar to happen aaahhhhh how can they just not do anything with them after that jealousy scene?! THEY EVEN KISSED... i've honestly been watching just for them, even though they have like a minute and a half of screentime every episode... felt like there wasn't much story to tell with everyone else, the teacher couple felt surface level and the two main couples are just stuck in a never-ending fight-make up-fight-make up cycle
i don't think i've seen many people speak about this but... isn't it crazy how quickly khanin blended in with his new life in royalty? he's slighly rebellious, but not even close to what i'd expect someone who grew up in london to be. he's bratty like he was given everything he wanted his whole life, but then quickly embraces the lifestyle and having to be controlled by this new family he's JUST met, it's like he never left and feels like him being raised in london was thrown out the window the moment they started writing ep2... like wdym your "grandpa" who you don't know is telling you you can't do this and that and you're simply accepting it? girl i'd be throwing the abandoning card at him everyday
not only that, but i was super excited to watch the romance between hayeong and mr. yeon blossom, and i was surprised at how little screen time they got week after week, they had such a good backstory to build on and now we have one episode left with one major conflict to be resolved so i'm already giving up on them getting a satisfying story... at least hadam and yugyeom's storyline has been great - fully counting my blessings here
