Firstly, the apology was not accepted. Unlike the first apology kiss that happened earlier in the episode, Gun…
“bad memories”? mind you that had happened the week prior or days before. as much as i agree with you on them having to make it clear that they like each other, that kiss should very much be addressed, especially when yotha has kissed gun more than once, implying that he has feelings for him., only for him to go and kiss someone else — who happens to be his ex! no one would be okay with that. i doubt you’d ignore the kiss and not mention it had it been you on his position, also you can tell that faifa’s reaction was due to finding out yotha kissed warit, because he was trying to convince gun of yotha ‘s feelings before learning about it. it needs to be addressed and it makes no sense for him not to mention it. we also don’t know if this walk in the beach is really a chance for communication — it really doesn’t look like so in the preview, i guess we shall see
extremely confused by gun forgiving yotha kissing someone else because... he kissed him too? what a poorly written episode, he should've confronted him at the end of the episode, yotha doesn't even know why he's mad and why faifa was doing his best to keep him away from gun
i rarely enjoy historical dramas but i love jieun AND inhyuk AND jaechan so i couldn't ignore this and it's obviously not groundbreaking cinema (the kiss underwater scene made me laugh so hard - it was so stupid it was funny which i'm actually entertained by) but it's fun and light which i like from time to time. that aside... i'm very confused by eunho still not knowing deoksu is a woman, esp cos my theory was that he knew all along - cut back to their first scene where he calls her "an important person to whom i owe" - but he keeps having these "no way i'm feeling this way for a man!" moments that i get really confused by, i keep thinking back to that first scene and i can't make sense of it other than him knowing. maybe i missed something...
you can scroll down and find multiple comments of people fighting over whose couple is better and whose couple's acting is better too, why would i make this up? how am i starting a fight when all i'm saying is i'm not partaking in it lol
i wanna be excited for this so bad cos i truly love firstkhao but the trailer is... let's go with interesting. i'm all for them having a "fluffier"/calmer show but the premise of this show is just cringey - as someone who likes cats, i do not want them to talk in high pitched voices and be the driving point of a show ever...
They truly need to get rid of it. No accountability whatsoever. Instead, the blame keeps being shifted to persons…
i've known this for years and i know it's not my place to demand otherwise but it's soooooooooo frustrating as a westerner that loves asian media ... i get so attached to characters and get so upset over this one thing time and time again
as someone who HATED the original drama (esp the jaeeon character), is this worth giving a try? a friend of mine - who knows how much i hated song kang's character and how the plot was in his favour - told me this is vastly different from the original drama and his equivalent is not as toxic and.. horrible lol. would really appreciate it if any of you can tell me if this is true
this episode is all over the place. how did they go from confessing their feelings to discussing marriage and having a whole ass child by the next day? i was afraid they'd do this since there was no development as a couple for 9 whole episodes and yea... just rushed and meaningless (don't let me start on them randomly saying i love you in that one scene) also very confused as to why this stupid looking ring gives you this much power, not even the police can touch you?...WHY? just dumb imo. and why is joke not clarifying that he did what he did to save jack?!?! he couldn't have predicted any of this + "i betrayed you" no the fuck you didn't?? jack would not have been let go had you not stolen the ring!!!! that was the whole point of it all!!!!!! they're creating problems where they don't exist
- extremely unpopular opinion incoming: grandma's screentime needs to be cut in half 😭 i think she's served her purpose in the story, i need her to stay healthy AND out of it! enough of interrupting them when they get even slightly close to being affectionate with each other.
- we're 8 episodes in and we only know they end up together because it's a bl, the closest we've had to a display of romantic attraction being jack being clearly jealous and jack cuddling joke is not enough for how far ahead in the series we are. i understand it's a slow burn but they could actually just like each other as trauma-bonded friends for all we know! slow burn usually implies there is pining for the other which we haven't seen much at all, and they better start doing so in the next episode.
- i see a few people complaining about the heist in the ep9 preview and i think it's valid to be annoyed at getting something we've gotten already instead of any progression of them as a couple, but i'm hoping we get both. the past heist episode was by far one of the most entertaining ones and i'd trade any of these recent ones full of random hangouts with rose and grandma's health declining for a heist where we also get to see some development with the second couple who has sooooo much potential but not enough screentime. i actually wish we got more of joke using his abilities for good and teaming up with the rest to ruin things for the boss or even the four horsemen because it would've been so much more fun to watch other then...
- ...all of the stuff with joke's dad and brother? i'm honestly incapable of caring. i can't take his brother seriously when his dad keeps saying horrible things to him. i also think there is already so much going on so i need them to wrap this up quick
i think the most annoying thing about the rose plot is that... well it makes no sense. her and jack are just out and about and that's pretty much it. we don't see any of this "deceiving" jack is supposed to be doing and and we get nothing from her end other than her sitting pretty. it's so boring to watch and contributes nothing to the story. they got so much screentime when all of those outings could've easily been a montage and he could've actually completed his job (which was supposed to be marry rose, not hang out with her everyday - i think the writers forgot that) by telling her he's willing to marry her and then have him deal with the consequences: him struggling with deceiving rose (because he clearly likes her as a friend) and, most importantly, struggling with his real feelings for joke and a growing urge to be with him instead. i know as fans of the couple we want to see them together and it was great to see him come clean about his real intention, but it fell so flat. had they done it like this then we could've gotten a more emotional confession and actual progress on them as a couple. they should've had joke see through jack's lies and give us scenes of him getting in jack's way/sabotaging jack's dates and events with boss until he starts doubting his own thinking and realises jack might actually go through with it leading to him fully realising his feelings for jack, making him stop getting in jack's way as he's processing his finding and his sudden absense would serve as a wake-up call to jack that he couldn't live without him. there you have it, i wrote a whole ass alternative plot from the top of my head! i just hate how many villains this show has and how little they focus on the romance between the main characters
ngl they are dragging this grandma plot and rosé's appearance so much... show's called "jack & joker" and we got 10 minutes of them in this entire episode. 4 eps left and there is no progress on them as a couple... i also really like tattoo/aran together and really wish they had more screentime
Everyone is like they're just doing fillers for the 16 episodes, that's a lie! Director New is known for making…
but they're not skimming over many topics... it's just the same pining-despite-everyone-knowing-they-like-each-other-and-after-kissing-a-shit-ton-of-times for all of the eps, there's no substance in the plot rn not to call it filler
this started off so well but finding out this is not a 12 episode series was so crazy cos they've been dragging the storyline for the past couple of episodes... how come they've kissed like 9 times and peem is still saying "you'll have to win my heart/hit on me" ????? and how come phum thinks that makes sense! and how come peem is surprised by phum liking him? AGAIN they've kissed a bunch of times already ffs this show had potential but i don't think there's been any significant plot changes for a lot of episodes now (not even counting couples starting dating since this show ignores the clear signs that they already are with no exclusive agreement - and if you thinks it's normal to let things flow, i guess it is, but you would never be that surprised when the question came to be
don't understand the hate comments at all, this is such a fun and light drama to watch and it's so nice to have it after so many heavy themed dramas, the actors are great and the main couple is having such a cute progression! i'm very pleased so far
I have been dragged for this very opinion not so bluntly put LOL. You are right...this is 2015.
oh i couldn't care less i'll speak my truth! (lol) reviewing and opinionating is what i use mdl for so they'll have to accept it + it is not our fault that this show sucks ass! i always expect biased ratings and opinions from bl watchers but this being rated a 7.7 is SO crazy, people will see an actor or ship and just rate it high but this is not even a 6 like let's be fr. i'm not lying when i say i thought this was a show they filmed years ago and for some reason decided to release it now... i actually watched this cos i really like neo, but seeing him in this role and show after the ones he's played and been in before? yea this is a huge no, idk this many people can hype it up
real talk: this show is really bad... and i mean this from a place of disbelief that this is a gmmtv 2024 show, after consistently coming out with better and better shows, i feel like it's 2015 watching this, and we all know how bls were all those years ago, just pure cringe
i doubt you’d ignore the kiss and not mention it had it been you on his position, also you can tell that faifa’s reaction was due to finding out yotha kissed warit, because he was trying to convince gun of yotha ‘s feelings before learning about it. it needs to be addressed and it makes no sense for him not to mention it. we also don’t know if this walk in the beach is really a chance for communication — it really doesn’t look like so in the preview, i guess we shall see
