it did air very fast (which is unexpected but i'm not complaining lol) but i don't think that affects their subbing speed. mangotv is just slow at subbing and they really only sub their dramas if it gets popular enough (ie they have a bunch of people asking for subs on YT)

not necessarily. it does mean that but it can also be used to describe voice acting. it's a pretty common occurrence in chinese dramas (unfortunately) for the actors to have their voices replaced by those of a voice actor for various reasons.

i remember someone asked in the AMA thread about who used their real voice and who was voice dubbed by a voice actor and wu jiayi used her own voice for AMA. also, her voice just sounds the same in AMA as in the behind the scenes lol

she used her real voice in AMA. as far as i know, she is dubbed in all of her other dramas exvept AMA

same!! also, li jun chen deserves a lead role soon!! he was the lead in an iqiyi webdrama back in 2017 or 2018 i think (my beluga boyfriend) but his acting has improved so much since then!!

there is no english version lol. the voices remain the same, it's just that there are subtitles

i really really wished they had given prince mu a better ending-- i wanted him to live happily ever after as well :'( haha thank you!! hands down one of the funniest scenes in this drama-- i bet they all laughed like crazy behind the scenes

i didn't watch love of a thousand years with zhao lu si but i heard the kiss scenes there were intense haha

damn they literally just translated it quite literally didn't they? i hate when they auto-translate because it makes no sense 90% of the time. i remember watching this wuxia drama and they had google translted subs adn they mentioned wechat lol

i don't think mangoTV allows others to sub their videos on YT-- I remember trying to sub the teasers for Girlfriend earlier this year and not being allowed to lol but i agree that mangotv's subs can be pretty bad

there's literally so many actors here that were also in AMA, which is kinda expected given that yu zheng is the screenwriter lol

lol yeah it was a little bit wacky at first but turned out to be really cute-- i really liked her acting as a cat even when she was in human form. personally, i don't base anything off looks entirely (i think the chemistry between the leads is more important) but i do get thrown off sometimes if the visuals do not match if you know what i mean lol. i agree! that carriage scene was shot so beautifully!

yes! i really liked yun shan bc of how sassy she was but i could not get myself to like xiao feng ming and they wasted so much time on their romance line. i wanted to see more of prince mu too (he literally made my heart hurt in the last few episodes)

agree!! there's been so many negative comments and reviews since about the midpoint of the drama, but i personally still really love it, esp. xu kai and wu jiayi's acting and chemistry :)

wu jia yi posted on weibo that they finished filming recently! as for airing news, there's no news yet (sadly; we probably have to wait a while since they just finished filming but hopefully we see it soon!). um i usually follow these blogs that get airing news from weibo or from other chinese sites i think

i personally would've liked to see more of xu kai (aka my baby li xuan) and wu jia yi but 60 episodes is still too much for me. i think if this drama had been 32-36 episodes so that we could've gotten more character development and more focus on li xuan's story (instead of wasting screen time on yun shan and xiao feng ming cough cough), it would have left a better impression on more people.

im not completely sure but im assuming it's to make it easier to get a broadcasting time?
