I loved how JJ knew LX wouldn’t be able to sleep and went to his room to help him sleep. It just shows she’s…
Except she does. Evytym she criticises the people he loves, it hurts him. Whether its bringing up d past incident of JJ involve in Xiao cheng tze falling or in the next episode saying Li ba isnt LX's "real dad". Once she appears, his smile disappear and the nightmares threaten to cloud over again. Her ability to drain him emotionally and make him feel guilty is still there. He kps hearing her blaming him for leaving her and xiao cheng tze. So thats the bit yet to be resolved. I trust the writers will give a satisfactory and heart warming wrap up to the crux of the problem
I've only seen half of the first episode so far, but omg the cop's wife is unbearable! Can I take 40 episodes…
Goodnews for you she will depart aft the first few episodes. Return briefly and leave again. But her affect on LX stays and she appears in memory or flashbacks. I would say so far although her scenes are excruciating, there were necessary to flesh out LX's pain and trauma.
In Chinese society is it possible for a parent to prevent their adult child from marrying the person they love?…
In reality, yes, sadly in some cases. In the drama, although CT weaves alot of weight on LX's emotional state, LX wont give up on JJ- he said before, i dont care as long as we are together. But as JJ puts it, LX's mum exists objectively regardless they like it or not. In my opinion they would be together, with or without her consent. But they would be happier to receive her blessing.
How would chinese speakers translate "我疼你" (wo teng ni)? Which JJ quietly said to Lx while he was sleeping on her shoulder. I saw subbed versions translate it as "i love you" and another one "i will take care of you". And i find both not exactly accurate, maybe "lovingly take care?". When she climbed into bed, calm and coax him to slp, that was one of the teng ni moments she promised. Her loving nature is so sweet.
No matter if LX mum change or not, even before she left, she was the kind of mum that decides what she thks is best for LX. I rem she rejected lil JJ's icecream and said LX doesnt eat icecream. But that wasnt the case. Like Li ba said before in her eyes JJ is nt good enuf. So im waiting for the coming episodes how it would be written that JJ is the best thing that happen to LX and for LX's mum to finally see that.
school started and i finally had a break to catch up! Im so in love with this drama :):) also, did u know seven…
Haha in a reality show when someone commented on her forever young lools, she saod shes a monster ;) Im so glad she has a lot of good dramas out this year n i enjoyed all 3.
Is there something wrong with me. Everyone abandons me. (!,!) Why does the children have to pay for the wrongs of the adults? Uggh ZQ, theres nothig wrong with you. I slightly dread the next episode. Although i noe CT will turn up sooner or later and LX needs closure, but i feel so uncomfortable evytym i see her. Like theres red ants crawlig over my body. Also afraid of the hurtful thgs she might say or do to JJ, as Li ba's afraid of.
Her kiss in the 27th episode looked fake. It showed that she was hesitant to kiss him. She did it like, she was…
If u compare with love o2o which was a hit back then n was touted for its many kisses n overall generous romance..n see the female lead's passive to no response to male lead's kissing.. that was way way more evident. Jj and Lx's kiss nvr looked that way. JJ is just more shy, and the tree kiss scene was technically her 2nd proper kiss from bf, which she was learning to respond..and maybe by the time she wanted to kiss back..LX stopped..hence her huge eyes staring back at LX .
I can empathize with both mothers, Chen Ting (Ling Xiao's mother) and Hei Mei (Ziqiu's mother). They are not bad…
Actually after watching last night's episode and rewatching the one before that. I wonder if ChenTing's psychological issues were properly address n treated aft the death of her daughter, would it turn out differently. Given that its such a stigma and even Ling ba's reaction about this sort of illness, it seem they nvr see it as somthg that needed the right treatment immediately. .im also thking the emotional support from Ling ba is lacking.. even LX says his dad doesnt balance work and family well.
It's definitely pity, haha. But it's more of an inside joke thing at this point. It's mainly bc everyone in the…
Haha dont u love the screenwriter, so golden these lines. JJ again effectively use "pity" again when she coax him to share how his life was in singapore. I love that true to JJ's personality, the way she talks, and switch between joking/emphatising ..coaxing/teasing her brothers to get them to open up and share instead of clamping up/retreating.
Interesting write up. Makes me thk of my own opinions. Age gaps dont actually bother me as much as other red flags: eg. Story characters that are Teacher- student romance, older man involve with a minor, stocklohm syndrome type of love. Or super dumped down female characters with pea-sized brain and no redeeming character. I also notice that i dont care real age noonas with younger men if their character isnt noona romance. Hence obvious noona romance dramas usually im not interested to watch. But a romance drama that a slightly older actress who plays a character age younger than herself (and doesnt look her age) im fine with that
Can't claim to be a real expert but from what I can tell, the main cast has either filmed using their own voices…
Yup. Seven is from Beijing academy and speaks in a clear mainstream mandarin tone, it is rare for her to be dubbed. So far this drama keeps evyone's natural voice. U would notice tang Can's voice and intonation to be bit heavy but they didnt dub her either.
"I've taken a look at the one who I love from far away. He's so shining and complete, far away in the center of…
Yes JJ's narration is really the nail to the coffin. An outsider would look at LX and thk wow so perfect- tall, handsome, young denstist. Thk is depression can take away a physically healthy person anytym. Glad that he has a strong will to live. I jus want to see him break out of that bleak line of thought. In many ways i thk his mum might ultimately be the one that allows him to truly shed it. Bcause his mum blamed him for the death of his sister and refuse to let him mourn and remember her in a healthy way. His "illness" and trauma already began before the 9yrs stint in Singapore..which further compounded the problem. So im praying that ChenTing can deal with her own demons and acknowledge her part in causing LX's health issues. Similarly ZQ's issues on abandonment might only be put to rest thru HeMei as well. I felt the ones that cause the issues are the ones that are needed to clear up the mess..coming full circle.
Besides mental challenges, special need kids are not acknowledge early enough with treatment and management bringing…
Yes i was suprise with the development on He Mei's child. I intially tot would be a normal plot device. Theres really alot thay this drama is addressing and i appreciate the subtle and not subtle ways they show it to us
I would imagine the name to have the same characters or homophones of their names, given Ling Xiao such a sentimental…
Yes LingXiao is actually a vy interesting character. He has some black belly characteristics but is also particularly sensitive and vulnerable. U cant ever doubt the depth of his feelings for JJ, somtyms i fear JJ might go up in flames the way he stares at her.
Lol guys just to share on Go Ahead's official weibo, they invite people to guess and suggest the name LX planned for his n JJ's kid. Haha currently the biggest contender is Ling Ling Qi (which sounds similar to 007). Gives me bellyache from laughing too much.

Their sofa kiss looked more comfortable imo.
