Just as Sol integrated herself into Sun Jae's life when she first time travelled to the past, in this final travel, she must have done many things similarly. However, she made sure to keep out of Sun Jae's line of sight, and that honestly is not that difficult to do when she doesn't even exist in his life. Just how OG Sol was oblivious to his existence, with him pining for her from a distance, in this new timeline the tables have turned. Also, In Hyuk and Tae Sung were not even close friends in the OG timeline. They ran in different circles. Perhaps, in this timeline, both of them developed a deeper friendship given Sol's intervention and him not slacking off of school. In Hyuk must have been aware of Tae Sung's female friend. To put things in perspective, Tae Sung had many fangirls in school. In Hyuk may not have paid much attention to any. However, Tae Sung's friendship with In Hyuk endured, so by extension it's likely so did his friendship with Sol. If you remember, despite Tae Sung being in the band, both he and Sun Jae were pretty much unacquainted. Here, many people say Sun Jae fell in love at first sight. However, I disagree. Like any other person, it's hard not to notice attractive people. But the reason why Sun Jae fell so hard for her was not because of how adorable she looked, but her inherent kindness. In my country, while people are usually not rude to delivery persons, yet, they are pretty indifferent. They forget these people must work, whether it's rain or shine. Sol, uncharacteristically, not only put the umbrella over him but also gave him candies that she had with her. Basically she, despite being a ditzy teenager like many people are at that age, acknowledged his existence and discomfort "while doing his job". Which also explains why he was just as lovesick as he was in the original timeline. It also explains that despite the OG Sol being a classic "red flag" through no fault of her own right after the first timeline, he just couldn't get over her. Moreover, Sun Jae had newly shifted opposite to her, had different schedules for most of their high school career. So, even if he had spotted her in passing, I don't think he would have cared to investigate who she was or how she was like. Like his father testified, he was as pure as oxygen!

People, I have a point to make about why Sun Jae being oblivious to Sol's existence is possible despite her being friends with Tae Sung, and seemingly, with In Hyuk.

I thought it was cute too, till the ugly pendent brought me crashing down to reality. It's akin to keeping bits and bobs from your first date, like movie stubs or can rings. ☺ What made me shudder that he paid actual money to buy that revolting pendent. 🤣

Exactly. In the OG timeline, Tae Sung had bit of a reputation, especially for getting into serious fights. He may have been acting out due to "supposed" neglect by his workaholic father. There was no one to call him out on his behaviour. Sol, after witnessing his growth must have wanted to intervene and encourage a better way of living. And because he wasn't going around picking up fights, he perhaps became good friends with In Hyuk. However, he did leave the band. So, the idea of him and Sun Jae being best friends is out of the question. Also, it seemed that while he's close to In Hyuk, he isn't as close to him as he is to Sol. And, truthfully, I didn't feel any romantic undercurrent in the Tae Sung and Sol interaction. He may have liked her at one point of time, but now, he is just a very caring friend. Also, not knowing the friend of a friend is not that unthinkable.

Not me. 😜 What I assumed to be a crude engraving turned out to be a series of crystals. *Facepalm* Those crystals made the pendent look uglier. I am all for being thrifty and sentimental but if my partner were to pay for something like that, I would have thrown a fit. Gift me something practical like a water bottle instead. I guess the thought was realistic. Inexperienced guy buying a gift for his girlfriend for the very first time, and girlfriend loves it because it's the thought that counts. 🤷🏼‍♀️

IKR?! Right now, I have little time. Which is why many anime series are on my to watchlist. Also, I don't want to rush through them and savour the viewing experience properly.

In all honesty, psychopaths don't really need a backstory especially in a story like this one. He exists and his actions have implications for our main couple. That's all we need to know.

Attack on Titans is on my watchlist. But, I always thought it was action. Btw, I love action. It's just that free time is scarce, so following up diligently is difficult. I love slice of life, and no one does it better than the Japanese, hence, I end up watching Studio Ghibli productions.

Exactly! I am excited for their "enemies" to lovers era. Am waiting for the moment when Sun Jae realises, yet again, that she loved and cherished him all along. That she never was the enemy. What I love about this drama is that it has all the classic KDrama tropes and some more, yet, these beats feel different. Also, all those upset about those memories disappearing forget that it was Sol's time travel that pretty much resulted in the fruition of their epic love across different timelines.

WTF! Memories of the previous lifetime are either resurfacing or he went to the amusement park after reading her script and ran into her, making him realise that there may be an element of truth causing the memories of the previous timeline to come rushing back.
