OMG. I didn't recognise either of them even though I have watched the movie and have been a fan since their early days! Coincidentally, my very first CDrama was that of Sun Qian! She and the rest of the cast convinced me to watch CDramas, LOL.

Tbh, I still don't quite get the hate, even by the C-industry's standard. He is tall and has sharp features. Isn't that their standard?
WZW and LYN would look awesome together! WZW looks too badass to be convincingly paired with most of the guys others may have wanted. She looks best with those who have a lot of screen presence of their own. Which actors did some of the fans want?

This drama has some of the best styling for a FL in a modern drama. You You's outfits are quite chic, usually a harmonious blend of formal and glamorous fashion styles.

Tell me about it. Some of my favourite actors and actresses hardly get leading roles. Not taking names, but they could actually give some of the traffic stars a run for their money if they got the opportunity. I guess I am thankful that they are at the very least getting roles.

True. It was supposed to be a women centric show, so lesser screen time for his character is understandable. However, it didn't quite satisfy me. I watch all kinds of shows and when a show entertains me enough that I'd like to rewatch it sometime in the future, I consider it a success. His modern drama did not have that pull which AJTL had. Having said that, for a modern drama, he did well especially opposite a veteran, celebrated actress.

Ooh. That was a good one. However, the plot kinda lost itself towards the conclusion of the drama.

I absolutely loved that bit! It was so unexpected and, frankly, new. Also, loved that Wei Shao didn't chastise Wei Liang. 🤣

Gosh, I absolutely hate that most productions seem to smoothen the life out of the skin of actors. Aren't humans not allowed to look like humans anymore?

I also kinda love the detail of how she learnt strategising at her grandfather's knee. Her grandfather's teachings combined with her intelligence makes her quite the formidable force.

So true. They actually look like battle hardened generals, most of whom probably started as foot soldiers. Great casting.
