I am struggling a bit to rate this, because it's not awful or terrible, but it also has lots of pacing problems…
^This! The acting is serviceable at best. I can think about an entire lot of actors who have both the charisma and the acting skills to pull off the roles played by the MLs but are unfortunately stuck either doing supporting roles or without work. Having said that, the overall drama is decent enough to keep my attention which is a positive sign. I have been forever waiting for a drama that comes close to The Long Ballad in terms of quality. Ashile Sun and Li Chang Ge supremacy! 🥰
It’s so cheesy in parts, but you will be hooked to finish. The ML has smoldering eyes that draws you in and…
Watch Flourish in Time, he was hilarious. Technically, it has almost no romance, but this was one of the only school dramas that I really enjoyed. His character's acrimony with the ML (my introduction to ZLH, and way before he blew up in popularity) was a treat to watch. The entire drama is loads of fun.
The princess the princess, and she does not see anything wrong in her behaviour. Well how would she? Everyone…
The problem is she is just vile, and not the typical evil person per se which makes her character all the more annoying, LOL. It's like she is detestable because the script said so.
Kudos to the female voice dubber. AB's performance leaves a lot to be desired but it does get so much more elevated…
May be they did, may be they didn't. Honestly, I feel, they just got lucky and it wasn't a conscious choice, given how most female characters in CDramas seem to have high pitched voices.
The princess the princess, and she does not see anything wrong in her behaviour. Well how would she? Everyone…
Feel terrible for saying this, but the way her character is designed, it'd have been better if she had stayed kidnapped. Would totally judge if Qimin genuinely falls for her. Fortunately/unfortunately, the actress is doing a convincing job. 🙈 So, I don't feel an iota of sympathy. People go through a lot worse and yet don't behave this way.
So true! Many viewers seem to equate intimate scenes with chemistry. *facepalm* Ashile Sun and Chang Ge supremacy! I don't think they can be topped, both in terms of the story or chemistry, especially, in reference to other dramas set in the desert.
Y’all sleeping on this series! - GORGEOUS LEADS. Song Wei Long in braids does stuff to me - Whoever dubbed Angelababy…
Kudos to the female voice dubber. AB's performance leaves a lot to be desired but it does get so much more elevated due to the voice acting. Also, it makes sense for Qiluo to have a heavier register since she also conducts business as a man. Years of talking at a lower register can make your voice deeper.
Idk why I started watching this. Perhaps bcos it is on wetv so I decided to watch it, along with Flourished Peony.…
Your comments made LOL. Ren Hao is a really good actor. Watch Hilarious Family and you will understand. A couple of my CDrama favourites are in that. In all honesty, the script writer has done a fairly good job except for the Xuan princess. It's a pity that the acting is not exactly the best... For me, nothing has topped or even come close by a mile to The Long Ballad when it comes to chinese stories set in the desert.
Your sarcasm is funny 😅😅. But really, the dramas of this year have been having complete summary of the drama…
Glad it made you laugh. However, synopsis is a brief outline of a story and not its gist, LOL. 🤣 I don't mind spoilers, but this gave away way too many details. Even if the story beats are predictable, still leave something for the imagination.
