I read somewhere in the comments that the novel has an open ending. But I love happy endings. Hope that the drama deviates from the novel in that respect.

Loving the aesthetics... The middle of nowhere feel is done so right. The stagnation even as time passes... Loving the bleak slice-of-life feel. The biggest draw is that it doesn't feel forced or carefully curated. The first time the project was announced, the FML gave me the vibes of the FML from Yong Jiu's Grocery Store, another underrated gem. LSY as usual slaying the portrayal of this offbeat character. The rest are doing well with their characters.

I liked that too! People can be deeply in love with someone but they are their own individuals too. I guess she loved him exactly the way he is and hated the fact of him being with someone else. Given how ridiculously obsessed SK is about physical looks, she probably thought that him being chubby would ward off potential suitors who cannot look beyond a pretty face.

She just let nature do its work. 😅

I felt his wording was interesting provided that the translation is as close as possible to the words spoken.

I have a suspicion that original God's soul got split into different entities. That's what I think. He also lost his memories after falling of a cliff as a preteen, if you remember. His demon aura/some prophecy may have convinced the demon elder to adopt him into the clan, not unlike the Eternal clan's leader's motivation into letting Bai Shuo getting away. This is what I speculate. 🤷🏼‍♀️

That has got to be one of the most hilarious scenes in any Xianxia drama ever! Bai Shuo's satisfied expression of a job well done post the "exchange of courtesy" was gold! 🤣

Totally agree. He's all talk, no action. I don't know why he reminds me of a inept boss cruising on the efforts of his subordinates. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I have a sneaking suspicion that he remembers or that he has figured it out. In an episode when Bai Shuo is lying down seemingly asleep, he mutters why should her path only lead to an Eternal or something to this effect.
