I gotta hand it to Ao Ruipeng for effectively convincing me that he's a cold, domineering, red flag-type of male…
While I liked his acting, however, I think he could have leaned a bit more into the domineering trait of his character. FY didn't quite give me the chills in the initial episodes.

I am genuinely curious, with a fandom as huge as hers, is it not possible to rebel a tiny bit? I do understand there was physical and psychological abuse, but what if she chose not to cooperate and lose weight? The agency couldn't possibly do much because of the massive revenue she brings in. Like do massive stars like her have no pull at all? It's genuinely messed that beloved stars cannot get protection. Just imagine what happens to newbies!

Sometimes I feel bad for Chris. I don’t think he means any harm to Yoo jin. He sees him like a brother and just…
Yeah, he seems so jaded and convinced about KSH abandoning Jin Woo. Tbh, his bitterness is justified.

I share similar sentiments. I am used to preposterous plots, but the last episode takes the cake. The episode…
A while back I had made a comment on this page, something to the effect that the Wattpad-ish nature of this show was both its biggest flaw as well as its biggest draw. 🤣 I absolutely love happy endings even if there are plot holes to reach such a conclusion. But this last episode, in all my years of watching dramas, had the unintended effect. I was barely able to keep myself from cackling even during their dramatically sincere expressions of luurve! Everyone seems to have loved the their union in that bamboo "hut". If anything, I kept thinking if that is the showrunners' concept of a rebel infested area, they must have led really sheltered lives. I am aware that they must be wiser than that, but for the very first time, as someone who can easily suspend their disbelief, especially in romances, I was left in stitches. 😜 NGL, I did enjoy the first couple of episodes.

Too make it more dramatic but it’s cringey AF
I usually only care about happy endings, irrespective of plot holes, but in this case, the showrunners went too far. Her going to the airport in that frilly outfit, getting kidnapped by ostensibly very dangerous rebels, to her rescue, and them having the most dramatic confrontation, the unbelievably well designed bamboo "hut", to them being together, all through I could barely contain my laughter. This last episode was uninspiring and just too silly. I understand that the Wattpad-ish nature of the story is the main draw but even within this universe, the events taking place over the course of this episode were too preposterous.

Controversy notwithstanding the last episode felt narratively bizarre. As someone who is generally a hardheaded…
I share similar sentiments. I am used to preposterous plots, but the last episode takes the cake. The episode was "tell me it's Wattpad inspired without telling me so". The showrunners achieved what I had thought could not be possible. An arc more ridiculous than that in the novel. LMAO. 🤣

Something very organic in their acting. There do exist movies and shows from China that have realism. However,…
I disagree. Some of their dubbing artists end up elevating the overall performance. However, there do exist issues. Also, I wish that they were not so hell bent on making everyone sound from Beijing. I like hearing diversity in accents. For me, it's more to do with production design, sets and how overall scenes are composed. Many of the modern C-Dramas go on overdrive with the saturation of pop colours. Also, their rooms and houses almost never look lived in. In Taiwanese dramas, the locations look real because they usually are, LOL. Moreover, the clothes they wear befit the station in life that their characters belong to. Furthermore, the actors are relaxed in their body language. They usually don't try to hold themselves in a particular way. They can lounge if they want to.

Title The Way Home
Because of an AI fake video made by gay lovers of the main leads
Oh. I like queer stories but Thai gay stories seem to have such problematic plotlines. They seem to get away with a lot.

I would not generalise, given how queer stories are often made for the entertainment of heteronormative people rather than for the sake of narrating queer stories. I feel that fans should know what's appropriate and what is not without requiring other saner fans pointing such things out.
