I honestly had no expectations but the first episode was hilarious!! Ikuta Toma is great as always! Also Kichise Michiko and him make such a great duo.
Such a nice ending!! I might've shed a few tears... This is why Japanese dramas are my favourite. They always give me such a warm and happy feeling, it's indescribable.
This drama started off so well but it kind of went downhill for me... That's the issue I have with a lot of modern c-dramas actually, like there's so many episodes for no reason and the first part is usually great but then the plot gets messy just to keep the story going (for way longer than necessary). That's what I think, at least.
Only watched up to ep 9 for now but I'm so glad to see a youth drama dealing with social anxiety. I really like Xia Rui's character here, she is the best friend anyone could wish for! Wan Peng is perfect for a character with this type of energy and personality.
I really wish Fangning weren't so pushy and always insisting on having a kid with Ling Rui when he's clearly not willing to. Like I love her personality and all but it's the only thing that bothers me about her.
I don't really understand why Deng Lun is here since in Ashes of Love he is supposed to be, what, a few thousand years old? His age is pretty irrelevant. (':
The first episode was amazing!! The scenery, the costumes, the music, everything was beautiful! And that whole scene with the horse was sooo well made too.
(Also, Shawn Dou’s smile is still as bright as ever. Always love to see it.)
I've been putting off watching the last few episodes for so long and I regret it now because that has to be one of the best endings I've seen in a really long time!
Really can't wait to see Chengcheng's acting in this!!
