same, i was really bored! i almost watch the other scenes that dont have the mcs at 2x speed bc sometimes its just too boring and slow. sometimes they focus on other characters thats not too important. and i agree with your assessment of yumo. hes so.... idk what to say, single minded and so one dimensional. his character is only that he wants to protect yd and his friends, thats it. his bg as the last survivor from nine fins clan basically is only a plot device for him having a reason to fight with yd and yy. they can develop him more than that. its such a shame

also since the heaven's arc is the most important one they should have put more importance to that! imo the lamp spirit arcs are dragging too much, shes not even connected to the final arc at all so why they spent so long on her is my question. they had epic showdown on her for her being revived just like nothing not once but twice are really testing my patience lol

hahaha wise on skipping the rumored two final eps! i myself will only watch the very last minutes of them getting married or smth since at least i deserve some break after watching them torturing themselves stupidly for the name of love LOL

you voiced every frustration i have with this drama! first part is good, i like the start. then after mortal arc starts they spent way too long with the mortal arc they just sprinted to the goal with the ending lmao. they even skipped a scene where yumo helped them after they escaped heaven and it’s just so jarring i was like what just happened when the characters made references to things that i was pretty sure haven’t happened yet! if ep 59 is truly the ending, it’s really just a sloppy ending bc it doesnt conclude anything, no epilogue, no closing scenes, nothing. just poofs and done. it’s so bizarre, aside of the non-satisfying ending they just gave for idk what even tho it’s just pure ridden angst. if this isnt cheng yi and yang zi i wont even continue watching bc the story is a mess, pacing wise, and just xianxia tropes reconstructed into a story

while yes it’s a very good dark thriller/crime drama, im just really disappointed they punished the good gangs too much even though theres really no other way left for the good ppl to get justice beside of the underhanded method. and how they reward the good cops so handsomely even though the good gangs did all the investigations for them. but probably that is it, that im supposed to feel like this since law is fair, it doesnt discriminate anyone for whatever cause i guess?

the little plot twist that the reporter is one of the victims really caught me off guard. i was wondering all the time who is she, why she’s on this and seems important even tho theres barely any connection to the case. turns out she’s the most important part of the piece. i also enjoy seeing lots of familiar faces on this drama. im gonna watch burning ice next i guess! and yan liang keeps appearing in light on series, is this person the same yan liang from burning ice and the bad kids? at some point they mentioned yan liang’s kid is dead, so it must be some allusions to burning ice i guess?

i like AOS better in terms on the wholeness of it, i really only like the acting of both cy and yz in this one, the supporting characters in this one unfortunately don't do it to me. if not for them i would have dropped this one long ago

yeah i can see the similarity, now that i think of, the other project still has better story, flow and conclusion. this one just forces angst too much, it leaves bad taste on my mouth. i only watched this bc i like them both and liking their chemistry, i just think the story has failed their chemistry.

yeah, and i feel like being deceived soooo much by the trailer. those happy moments are just....not as good as what i expect smh. wedding scenes = imaginations/dreams. twice. theres a third wedding scene and i dont feel good about this either smh.... i think ill just savor the angst endings bit by bit so i have something to watch until wednesday

i really expected the drama would give us a happy ending since the novel' ML is yumo instead i heard and they changed the ML to YY? so it kind of make sense she ended up with yumo in the novel... but even with changed ML the ending is still sad so it's just... idk what to say hahahaha. everyone who bought express package today i think really want happy ending, after all theres barely happy moments between the couple, so the outlash and feeling butthurt really make sense.

back then yz was rumored to not want a part for this drama, but this drama is produced by her agency back then, you can say she's "forced" to take part of this drama. probably she saw the ending and she didn't like it? so this drama is basically her farewell gift for her agency (now she has made her own studio i think). also i keep seeing cheng yi promoting this drama by himself as well so my feelings that she really doesnt want to heavily promote this drama is just stronger

let's hope the two "rumored" remaining episodes are truly the true happy ending then, probably YK doesnt expect the negative feedbacks and make happy endings now?? i just truly hope so it's the cause but the waiting for 7th sept is gonna be torture...

i also laughed myself bc at this point everyone knows the torture is just out of the world so everyone just can't feel sad anymore since it felt so over the top LOL but now my question about why yz doesnt seem to heavily promote the drama answers for itself

no offence, but so far they dont even have good moments tgt, it's just angst angst angst. of course we complain, we expect to have good ending to compensate all the pain of watching them hurting each other to not be together

ok all of them have been out now. it's a sad ending. now just decide if you want to spend 50+ eps watching a drama where almost all scenes are just sad scenes or not LOL im still laughing bc i just cant believe they dare to pull this kind of ending after so many times just suffering...

at least in one and only you know right away from ep 1 its gonna be sad ending since everyone knows it has sequel already. this one took me by surprise, i know its only angst so far but theyre really bold to pull this kind of ending LOL i thought they will surely pull a happy ending since thus far its just misery for both of them

yeah i will let you know what's the ending. but my hunch is leaning to happy ending, though i think they will pull something like "he/she's dead, but one day will revive and one of them will wait until he/she wakes up". let's see then :D

if you expect heartwarming romance, it's not really that. they aren't tgt, not even once throughout the whole drama. you have imaginations and dreams to make up their lack of romantic scenes though. this drama has that a lot. sure there is not really sml, but the angst is there. so much so that you will wonder if they really will end up together. not to mention it's 57 episodes of.... angst basically. if you really love angst i guess you will love this?
