That's unexpecting. I prepared myself on another more questions that answers end. And two skips for other dramas? It feels like closing on WX part of story.
I kind of hoped they are going to lead to this 5 years gap when WX is building to final confrontation with Wangs. I want that part of story.
Ok so now we wait for 2nd part of 9G, XH and Glasses side stories, Archives and maybe missing 8th novel.
I wonder if Wang Zanghai story with Xiao Zhan will have any connetion to this universe or they just stop on his early days before his kidnapping and meeting with Ultimate issue.

if you are talking about the one from Candle series https://kisskh.at/64311-candle-in-the-tomb-south-sea-wasteland, it is not bad but it drops you in the middle of the story> I would start with this one https://kisskh.at/19236-candle-in-the-tomb or from movies.
If you are talking about Lost Tomb series it has 2 dramas with very confusing titles versions connected to the "tomb" and "sea" words. One is Lost Tomb 2, which is connected to underwater tomb and is a bit lighter that this one with ZQ being part of advanture in person. Second is Tomb of the Sea (no sense whatever on title side, Sand Sea is another title) which takes place in north on the desert after this one with darker WX and new young characters introduced.

To be honest I always had a feeling as he did it as part of job description, responsability he feels to those he goes underground with. And WX and PZ and people connected to them were exception. It does not mean he is not good person, just a bit disconnected and indifferent.

From ep26, ZH's sister started to explain to WX why they are working against Zhang clan. It looks like ZQ had mission to kill his wife and put her in coma (I guess) on wedding night? It was interupted so we will know more next week.

In book I had this impression that this particular location was just decoy, trap for Wangs, but here it has more meanings. If they put all on Monday we can (maybe) has our explanations.. but I would not hold my breath. I expect more new questions that answers, LOL!

When I was reading the novel I got this feeling that those Bronze Gates were just the trap for Wangs, like decoy. no additional deeper story. But as it was stopped it was not confirmed.

He did it to gain info about his family, freedom for Zhangs was only side efect for him, to be strict, so not ver altruistic.

I only don't understand why it took them years to act? As it has to be minimum that, even longer since the attack. I still did not see ep27, maybe there is some explanation there.

This cave in novel is said to be made inside meteorite, which made more sense. There was no tool in book so nothing to open, at least till the moment novel stopped. But if we connect both, meteorite impacting flowers (and Zhangs in another locations) is more in-novel logical.

There are translations made in 5 volumes (I think), I saw it on Amazon but I don't anymore so it may be out of print. Check for MereBear's translation online

it was in Tomb of the Sea? I though it was separate story later in the timeline.
And in ep26 we have those flowers story part one.. and so far this makes no sense to me.
