This whole flower theory does not make any sense to me. So what, if only ZQ can access the flower field, he is gardener that distribute immortality to the tribe? When in life you need to consume it or smell it, or whatevere process is necessery, to have this long life? Because it would mean frequent travels to this flower source (or can they be stored?) and careful distribution to new tribe members. And still looks like genetic factor may be involved. And what before the story from the cave? Did they had another source of flower? If so why not try that one and chose so complicated way involving WX. If they could steel the tape why not steel flowers? Or did Zhangs give up on long life for next generation when they broke the family curse and migrated from the tribe village so the only flowers remaining are the one behind the gate?
Seriously, I love the universe but I hate when in dramas author is creating new plot holes, he did it enough in novels.

It is said in the novels that WX father distanced himself from family business, tombs robbing, so his parents do not apear as they have no plot impact. Second uncle was managing family, and 3rd focused on It (Wangs). I think they do not have any dedicated scene in any book.

It's back to more or less novel story, just more characters included and this strange meat eating sphere that WX said being bugs but for me they look like animated plants (it has strange resemblance to old Czech comedy where plant ate people, LOL!).

yes, but generally it symbolised failure on his quest and lives lost, so it kind of fit the pattern. Consistency is not strong point of this universe anyway.

He is my mental image of older WX, a little worn out, a bit tired, mellowed, someone who went through a lot, won but with heavy price and made the peace with himself. And still have this snarky spark.
Plus he is blessing to look at, LOL!

I guess I am from generation that still liked to read, :). When you read you can make your own interpretation, use our own imagination to build characters in your mind, it is reacher that only depend on visual creation that drama impose on you. Maybe this is why I have such strong opinion how every character should look and behave, I made them inside my mind before.
But I like to compare my interpretations with the actual dramas. It is like dabate, sometimes I agree, sometimes I am disapointed. But even if I argue at least it means that they made me interested enough to spare time to get involved. Like in discussions here, I guess.

I was lucky to came across this universe when The Lost Tomb was first streaming, so I did not get parachuted somewhere in the middle. And I read all published books right after. But then it was long and painfull period of waiting for translation of the rest of the books and development of the dramas. So I don't know who has it worse, LOL!

I hope they connect to Sand Sea, it's the same producing company, isn't it? But there is another 4 years difference between and whole snakes part to fit in. I think maybe this is part of message? On the other hand I can't belive ZQ would want to put WX in danger and this looking for info via snakes bites was risky.
