I was kinda confused about Chen Zhi Bao's participation in the last fight scene. Did I miss something? Was he close to their mother or owed her something? Why only him and none of the other foster/adopted brothers? Just wondering if I missed something. As of now, his being there felt kinda forced... like they had him show up just to make the last fight more dramatic and to surprise the viewers. I felt the same about Nangong Pu She too. Why did XFN feel like he needed her there? The last fight just felt really personal so it was weird that someone who is not connected to his mother or family would be there.

Engaging and interesting storyline and the acting was good. For the most part, I enjoyed it but I still feel like something was missing from this drama so it wasn't amazing for me. I can't figure out what it is yet. I wasn't always excited to watch it and there were 1 or 2 times when I didn't feel like I needed to continue. Overall, it is still a good drama and I'm glad I completed it. I didn't skip any parts and enjoyed most of the characters. I'm a bit conflicted about the last episode (see spoiler). Like everyone else, I hope there will be a season 2 and hopefully they'll flesh out some of the characters.

I just started this and it's so good but I'm regretting it because it looks like we may not get any more English subs.

that scene in ep. 13 when he put the necklace on her felt off. They sorta acted like they were a couple but then in some scenes, they still seem kinda distant.

yea i thought it was odd but he took her in even though she attempted to kill him so I can see her having a crush on him. But is the scene there mostly to show her loyalty to Jiang Ni bc it doesn't look like she would ever make a move on XFN. I really like her and Jian Ni's friendship though.

Care to share your observations? All I'm saying is she's barely in the drama so it's hard to tell what characteristics about her are consistent and true. On the surface, she's an emotionless, martial artists focused on whatever goal she is striving for and the drama hasn't done much more than that as of the latest episodes. All we get is the other characters' view of her but what I would prefer is more dialogue or scenes of her to get her point of view. Maybe the drama has given us some clues to her true desires and intentions but nothing we can really affirm. So as of now she's still a one-dimensional character and nothing to be excited about. It doesn't mean I don't like her, I just don't see the hype around her yet. I do expect more story for her at some point.

what do people see in Nangong Pu Ye? It's so weird that people like her when she's barely in the drama and so far there is not much depth to her character. I don't see any similarities between her and XFN. XFN is too naive and not at her level. She just wants to get better at her martial arts. She's supportive of XFN but doesn't seem to care to be involved in anything else.

I really wanted to like it and it does suck that Taew's acting is wasted on a mediocre plot but yea toward the end I just didn't want to watch anymore.

i agree. This is my first drama with him and already in the first episode i find him attractive. There is something about his charisma.

Dropped after ep 17. This was kinda a chore to watch and the drama should have been shorter. They really tried to have a lot of action scenes but I think that ended up hurting the drama. It didn't feel like the action advanced anything in the drama and action scenes would take up so much time. Sometimes they were entertaining and sometimes it was just a lot of gun shooting that usually resulted in the good guys getting severely hurt while the villains would get hurt but appear perfectly fine in the next scene. (Songklod... dude is so weak, gets shot at or beat up a couple of times but never seems to die or appear hurt.) The plot around the sister relationship kinda got lost as the focus was more on the sisters' individual relationship with everybody else. Go in with low expectations and you will probably enjoy this more than I did.

I'm so glad it's on viki now. I'm rewatching this and it's still hilarious to me. Oguri Shun was so young and it's making me feel old.

yea I think she is one of the more interesting characters and I look forward to her interactions with feng niang.

Some thoughts as of episode 15. I feel like the person behind Wichan and the mole in the police is Commander Khajorn. He seemed kinda suspicious in the hospital when he went into Rita's room and when he asked Nont about the mole. Also, he didn't seem to question Lisa's promotion and I don't believe he's that stupid. Honestly, it's ridiculous that no one is suspicious of it. Lisa is someone who looks busy but hasn't actually accomplished anything. I think Singh is one of the more interesting characters and I hope he survives this. lol.

lol but 31 and 32 were really good episodes.

everything else in this drama seems pretty good but the fight scenes might ruin the entire drama for me if it continues this way.

My first impression of the first episode.. seems interesting and engaging. I am curious enough to want to know more about the characters. The actors we see are doing fine. But for an episode that mentioned martial arts multiple times, the action scenes so far (not sure if they really are bc you barely see any action) are not impressive and I wasn't sure if I'm supposed to take them seriously or not. I'm supposed to believe the woman with the two blades is highly skilled but I need them to actually show me and in more creative ways or else I feel like they are not doing justice to the character. I'll continue watching to see how it goes.

So fast and easy to watch. I've been watching cdramas the last few weeks so it's so refreshing to get back to watching a jdrama. I thought the subject this drama addresses was interesting and this had the potential to be a really deep and serious drama. It's light, kinda cheesy, and has everything you would expect from a romance jdrama.

There are already so many jdramas in my PTW already that I need to start. A lot of these look interesting so I'm excited. Looking forward to watching Hiru, Kishibe Rohan wa Ugokanai, and seeing Shota in a drama!!

Excited for Shota! But not digging the short hair on Mitsuki the FL. It really ages her.
