I tried but after 30 episodes I decided to drop it. It's just not worth it. I came on here to read the spoilers for the ending.

lol thanks for the engagement. I think all of us in this thread agree with each other except @panprincess is enjoying the drama more than we are which is totally fine. I do think with longer dramas, we're allowed to expect it to be well done and somewhat satisfying.

but this is a drama. We're here for a story.

Yea I think that's the problem I have with cdramas. They try to do too much and most of the time it ends up hurting the storyline (makes it draggy). 12 episodes left in a 40 ep drama and there is so little or no character development for the main leads.

Yes he's the fiance. Nothing happened to the fiance. It was an open ending where they show the fiance with the villian. Triad Princess wasn't really good and it probably would have been better if they had a season 2. At least that's how I remember it.

At this point, the ML and FL have become supporting characters. I don't know if this drama can save itself from the mess that it is.

I actually went back to find him in Triad Princess bc I couldn't remember what the fiancee looked like, just that he seemed more interesting toward the end. What I remember is the fiancee wasn't what he appeared to be and they revealed that right before the drama ended so we don't get to see more of his character fleshed out.

I first saw the actor for the ML, Tsao Yu Ning, in Triad Princess too. At first, he didn't stand out to me either but he actually grew on me by the end of Triad Princess. It was really nice to see him in this one and hopefully he'll be in more dramas.

Short and not draggy. This was easy to watch and kept my interest throughout the drama. The romance was more mature and sexier which makes it stand out, in a good way, from other romance cdramas. The ML and FL aren't stupid and both are likable. But I needed it to be 1-2 episodes longer with more scenes about their past.

I have nothing to watch that's why I managed to stick through this drama lol. Everything I'm currently watching is pretty average. If you haven't watch it yet, You are my hero is an alternative to this one. It's not amazing but I did enjoy it, script is better, and the characters are much more likable. The only other dramas I've enjoyed recently was Imperial Coroner and jdrama Kikazaru Koi niwa Riyuu ga Atte if you're into that.

If the abroad scenes are the only thing that bothers you and you have nothing else to watch right now, then you can give it a try. I personally don't think the drama gets better. The script is pretty bad throughout. This is definitely not a must watch and maybe better to wait until it's done airing to binge it.

Yes, but he definitely had a lot of opportunities to kill LMZ while he was taking time off so I didn't understand why this one time was different. Plus he cares too much about XC to kill her. She's apparently still valuable to his plan to get to her father. The only reason I could come up with was he wanted to ruin the lung transplant and create a rift between XC and LMZ... but it's still a careless plan.

Did anyone else think episode 20 was ridiculous? Xia Chu getting called while she's off duty to pick up an organ from the airport and Zhou Ran uncharacteristically decided to attack them while they're transporting the lung to the hospital. I'm confused about what he was trying to accomplish. The whole thing felt so forced just to add an action scene or more drama.

I think I like this more than I should. Their relationship is not as bad as you think it would be based on the synopsis. I like that they communicate with each other so any misunderstandings don't turn into a big deal. I wouldn't say the FL is naive. As they say, she's just unguarded. I find her to be quite perceptive and not stupid.

Watched up to ep 12. It's still a bit cringy past the first episode. Sometimes it just feels like a tween who watches too many dramas wrote the script... It's not completely unwatchable only if you have a lot of extra time.

I think he's just jealous of the ML because the ML is living the life he could've had. I guess at one point the SML wanted to be in the special forces and now he probably knows he'll lose the FL to the ML. At least that's how I saw it when he had that flashback of how he felt like he had no choice but to work for the bad guy.

Yea I'm not liking it very much either for the same reasons. I only watch 4 eps and I was already ffw through some scenes. I'll probably keep watching to see if I can get past the ridiculousness.

A healthy relationship between the leads, no annoying characters, a FL who is consistently smart and doesn't make stupid decisions, a likable and mature ML who really respects the FL, and an engaging storyline. It's not perfect but there's not a lot to complain about either. Also, just in case, there is an animated scene after the ending credits of the last episode. It won't make up for the abruptness of the ending but it's something.

I only watched this because I was bored. You do need to have an open mind to start this. I initially put it on hold after the first episode because it was hard for me to get through how ridiculous the plot was. Overall, it's just a typical cdrama romcom. I didn't like how primitive they made the FL. Even though she grew up in a simple lifestyle with her tribe, I feel like her thoughts could have been more complex.
