The SML liked FL too fast so I don't really understand why he likes her. I don't feel bad for him at all. The younger brother storyline is borderline creepy for me too because he's barely an adult. It's not a huge age gap but it's a little hard for me to believe FL's friend would even find him attractive in the first place because he was probably always like a little brother to her and he's not mature enough.
When it comes to a historical cdrama, I usually expect it to be partially unrealistic. The people in this drama are not dumb, but they succeed because they get lucky a lot so it can feel a little ridiculous at times. With its low rating on here, I went into this drama with low expectations and that probably is how I managed to get through this drama. At times it felt like I was watching two separate dramas.. one about the fl doing embroidery in the palace with a hidden motive to avenge her mother and the other one about typical palace drama. It was doing alright up until the last 10ish episodes. I affirm what many people say, the very last 4-5 episodes are frustratingly unsatisfying... they definitely should have gone in a different direction but instead you end up with unnecessary plotlines. You'll feel like you wasted your time after finishing the last few eps but bc you made it that far, you felt like you had to push yourself to finish it. I think it's worth a try if you're bored and need something to watch. You're not missing much if you decide to drop it.
This is so good. Watched up to 16 and still excellent. So far it seems like none of the characters and none of the scenes are wasted. One of the best parts about this drama is there's no "hate to love" or bickering between the two leads... which is so overdone in dramas. They're both mature and have mutual respect and trust for each other. Since it's only 36 episodes and with the progress of the story, I am hopeful (fingers crossed) that there won't be any useless plotlines just to drag things out.
About to watch episode one. It says the prince appears weak in the description, I suppose meaning he is not what…
Prince is tough but he doesn't appear to know martial arts. It looks like he might have a chronic condition/illness (??). I'm just guessing but we'll probably know more in the upcoming episodes this week. There isn't a lot of fighting but the second leads know martial arts.
It's not bad but it's longer than it needs to be. I thought it was draggy somewhere between ep 20 to 30... I almost dropped it. Once the plot picked up again after ep 30, it got easier for me to finish it. At one point I thought they stopped talking about her dreams but it maintains its significance until the end... though I wished she had more dreams in the drama to make it more interesting.
Good ending but really weird that the group started a company together, separated after graduation, and have no idea what is going on in each others' lives. That made the ending feel rushed and not as satisfying... but still happy for our main couple.
For once, one of the few youth cdramas where the FL is consistently smart... at least as far as I watched it. I hope her character continues to grow. And finally, a ML who isn't cold and stoic.
Honestly, it was more interesting than most modern day cdramas. Not well done at all but I finished it and lately I can barely watch pass the halfway mark of any cdrama anymore.
You really know how to trigger people (๑˃́ꇴ˂̀) I've still not gone back to this but I will in the new…
Yep I agree. It really is an average plot with a popular star to make it better but it’s still not that good. I had a hard time getting through the last few episodes.
Yea. I think you just have to donate at least 5 usd one time. It supports the subber for their time and effort. If you have some income and PayPal that should be affordable for you. I feel like I’ve watched more than my moneys worth already since their site went private.
