I'm so glad this is finally getting subbed. So far I'm enjoying it. FL is just a bit annoying at the beginning only because they make her scream a lot and she can appear unlikeable at first. It gets better starting from ep 3 and the couple starts to like each other pretty quickly. Episodes are also under an hour so it goes by fast. I never watched the one with Ken and Janie so I can't say how this compares to it. I'm mainly watching this for Toni and Pat. After watching them in Skate Our Souls, I wanted to see more of them together.

I guess I was thinking if you can live with someone for that long and care about him, I was expecting her to trust him more.. it didn’t have to be romantic. But Ran Ran doubts his feelings for he and I appreciate that she’s cautious and not easy. Then trusted Chen Lou pretty quickly too even though others warned her to be wary of him. But anyway.. enjoying everybody’s commentary. Hopefully we get a good ending.

Yea, Ming Zhe is problematic for me too. I don't like the way his relationships started with Su Mo and Ran Ran. He was just this older guy who fell for the girls he helped. It was a little creepy to me. I didn't like the part when she asked him to never hide things from her, but they both were already hiding stuff from each other. I guess that's drama. What does frustrate me about Ran Ran is that her character isn't well written because I was confused about her character after she returned to China... maybe I missed something in the early episodes about her? She lived with ML for 4 years and he is probably one of the people in her life she spent the most time with but she treats him like she just met him.

Up to ep 29. I don't know if there's anything that will make me like Su Mo. Chen Luo is so annoying and I don't understand why Ran Ran trusts him so much. I can't handle an undecisive FL. As we all said, this drama is trash but I'm still into it. It's interesting and I want to know how it ends.

So many cdramas with uncomfortable age gaps. It's creepy that Shao Ming Zhe fell for Su Mo when she was still in high school. He was probably around 10 years older. Anyway, this drama is so bad but it's kinda addicting.

Let me add two for jdrama fans. Ayase Haruka as Saki Tachibana from the drama Jin. From a submissive woman who was first attracted to Dr. Jin to finding her own passion and pursuing it during the Edo period. I don't think fans appreciated her enough but I enjoyed her character a lot. The next character is Rinko from Grand Maison Tokyo. I loved that she was a woman of a certain age who is confident, then realizes she might be a little overconfident, but works to be better at her work. Though it took a partnership with a guy to get her to be even more ambitious, she did her part and eventually is the one who is celebrated in the end.

I don't think so.. I think ML hasn't done anything that harsh against FL .... He is just making her life hard…
You seem to really like the ML.

I am so proud of our girl Paeng. Her dynamic character has got to have one of the best character development in…
Yes. Although we don't get to see her journey in those 6 years when she was away, I like that her development has been consistent and she is not falling for Athit so easily.

The rape accusation was obviously wrong. I'm referring more to the way that he never thought to believe that she's not always looking for trouble but a lot of people instigated trouble with her especially when she was putting effort into changing. She definitely acted out and it's pretty unfair to her that they think a 16 year old losing two parents in a car crash (though we know it was a much more traumatizing event) is something you just get over. He always saw her with a biased lens that she is a troubled kid instead of believing her when she said others bullied her.

I'm all caught up. I hate this lakorn but I'm hooked. This might be one of the few dramas where I don't want the leads to be together. At this point, ML doesn't deserve her even if her creepy obsession from 6 years ago almost killed him.

The whole time I thought the FL was one of the actresses from the drama Miss Gu Who is Silent.

I watched all the episodes except for the last one. I found most of the characters too over the top and for some reason I didn't have the patience for it in this drama. I think they overdid it in some episodes and it sorta ruined it for me because usually, I can tolerate these characters in other dramas. I was never into Mark so this was my first lakorn with him and I thought he did fine here. This is my second Mew lakorn and I realize that I don't really like her as a FL or I haven't seen her in a role that is fitting for her. I personally didn't find her character in this drama attractive and I agree a lot of it felt forced. Overall, this could have been good but it was mostly a mess.

She is a general who already died in the war but she was resurrected again by the male lead to get her travel…
Right we know that but she was seemed so demoralized at the beginning that I thought she would be a bit more traumatized. She seems too "normal" in some scenes as if she never experienced 7-8 years of endless war. Also, please mark your comment as a spoiler.

Three episodes in and I'm still unsure about the FL character... I feel like a character who has been through years of war as a general would be different.

This drama started off so well but it kind of went downhill for me... That's the issue I have with a lot of modern…
yes. I have so many unfinished c-dramas. It sorta becomes a chore to finish them. There are not many dramas that I enjoyed all the way to the end. I'm gonna take a break and watch j-dramas for a while.

Title Qing Qing Zi Jin Spoiler
I enjoyed it throughout. This is one of my favorite couples this year and WRJ is one of the best female leads. She grew so much, was likable, naive but not stupid, and you just wanted to root for her. Also, the kid emperor was enjoyable. There were some inconsistencies toward the end but not enough to ruin the end. I wished we got more backstory with WRJ, I'm curious about her semi superhuman strength. They never explained what happened to Han Ru Xue when he went missing too.

I agree, she should have handled the knife threat easily. I honestly found it silly and just fast forwarded that…
I agree about the parts with WRJ being weak all of a sudden. That was inconsistent. I think with LQC, he decided not to fight back. WRJ mentioned in ep 39 that he changed and he said he's more careful so that it doesn't make the situation worse, like getting killed and leaving her alone.

Finished. Overall, I enjoyed it with some mixed feelings here and there but that's sorta expected with most dramas. I thought He Tian Xing was much better than Situ Aoran. He Ming Li, in my opinion, was the most interesting character. I'm glad the drama spent some time showing more of her story but I actually wanted more from it. This is an unpopular opinion but I didn't think Qing Feng was a strong second male lead at all and maybe that is because he is just a fictional character in the book. I never rooted for him nor cared enough for him to get a happy ending. I think the revelation of his story came too late in the drama and by then, he was just a side character that liked both women that his best friend liked.
