The fact is that that shirt was used by the both manga and screenwriter to make a connection with Kazuma's mother.…
Ohhh, I see! I need to stop getting so wrapped up in emotions, so I can pay more attention to these obvious details/cues. However, it's a good excuse for rewatching the episodes. Thanks for the explanation. π
I understand Ren's fear of ruining, what he has right now. He's living a dream and terrified of bursting their blissful bubble. But they need to talk about what happened STAT. Kazuma has shown nothing but comfort, patience and understanding towards him. There has been nothing in his behaviour to make Ren think, Kazuma would distance himself, if he lets him in behind these walls of his. Maybe I'm just being too impatient, they're still newly minted and it's coming, but I get so nervous watching Kazuma ask, and Ren brush him/it away.
How we were shown Ren's life at his international school, shifting between scenes from the past, voice-overs by Ren and Ryunosuke, that shot of Ren's back in the present and him turning around. The setup and execution was nicely done and became so emotional. Hell, I'm emotional 90% the time watching this anyway.
The shirt buttoning scene was so damn sexy, but does Ren not have a lot of clothes, and does he wash them all at once? Pretty impractical, but oh well, it gave us that scene. No complaints.
The warm smile Kazuma keeps throwing at Ren, and the way Ren closes his eyes and visibly relaxes into Kazuma's hugs. Well, let's just say, it works for me. β€οΈ
π I watched a Junho video on YouTube this week where he was at home, and got out of bed in the morning shirtless.…
Please, all of you friendly people need to stop sharing and dropping direct links, making it all too easy to never leave this dark endless hole. I can't be stuck here with his sexy bodyrolls and shirtless morning routines. I need to go to work, buy groceries, put on socks and pay my bills. I'm almost wishing episode 9 will introduce the crazy serial killer subplot, so I can be annoyed and snap out of this. π« ππ€―
Also - the inside of that cafe in episode 5 looked exactly like a cafe used in another drama, I cannot recall and it's annoying the hell out of me. I only remember a woman in a bad relationship coming there to drink coffee and read, and she was either flirting with or having an affair with the younger guy behind the counter. Or he was pursuing her. If anyone remembers that drama, when seeing the cafe in episode 5, throw me a comment, so my mind can move on.
OK, this is getting good. Still not too happy with the police here in general and that scheming "people in power" trope, but I like the slowly uncovering of the brothers' backstory and how it all connects to Dong Joo. And I'm digging the small sprinkles of comedy and heartfelt scenes between our ML's. It took me three full episodes to no longer see the "hair stinger" from Gaus Electronics on Bae Hyun Sung's head, but I think it's gone for good now.
Shin and Asuka are so incredibly precious, and I adore watching them being their authentic selves, living their lives, no holds barred. I'd prefer them together, but as I cannot get that, at least don't put me through the pain of seeing them get hurt. Whenever Shin's expression of warmth and kindness shifts to disappointment or insecurity, my heart breaks and it pulls me out of the slice-of-life, cute and goofy bubble, I've created for myself as a way to handle the frustrating aspects of the series.
Please go inside, I'll use the key and say "I'm back". I died!
Can we go back to when we're peacefully enjoying our drama? I'm already super stressed at work and King The Land…
Oh, no worries. We're all here, stuck in the same loop, waiting for the next episode. π« My loop currently consists of rewatching the end of episode 8 and Tiktoks of Junho bodyrolling half naked across some stage, because friendly 2PM fans wanted to let viewers currently whipped for Gu Won know, the man has some range. This is my life, and I have no shame.
It was fun seeing an Arab prince sweep the floor...
Fair enough. My curiosity towards traditional clothing and symbolism just got triggered, and I wanted to understand. I guess it's the clothing, not the color then.
It was fun seeing an Arab prince sweep the floor...
Why is the white clothes disrespectful? Is it the type of clothing, or is it (also) relating to the color? I'm genuinely curious, because I've been googling traditional types of clothing and meaning of colors, but the articles I've read so far didn't specify anything relating to the color.
Blacked out π€£ I legit spent that kiss biting my pillow, with tears..of..something..jealousy?..rolling down…
Oh my god, I didn't see the trembling before. How the hell could I've missed that. And more intense breathing! No, no, no, I just realized, he's pulling her lower lip. That's it. I'm out. I'm putting parental control on my wi-fi until I regain control. π

Guys, none of you are helping! π Totally a romance novel come to life. And I'm not even embarrassed by how I ate it all up. Guys everywhere just throwing their hands in the air, because of how Junho turned a first kiss into the never-never land of perfection.
What in the actual......JUNHO!! That kiss took me OUT before lips even touched. The raindrops travelling down the side of his cheek. His gaze moving from her eyes to her lips and back. Over and freaking OVER. His heavy breathing and how it made his shoulders move. Unnecessary. The slowest leaning in known to Kdramas, pausing, pulling slightly back and then asking for consent. Oh right, he whispered. What the..... Why was there suddenly 13 seconds of complete silence? 13 seconds! I just briefly noticed his shirt being wet, before there was impact and I blacked out. This is how you make a three minute kiss feel like a full movie. I may have actually drooled. I'm even debating whether or not the build up to the kiss was hotter than the actual kiss (it was!). This has got to be one of the best kisses in drama history. If a better kiss exists, please tip me. Who, where and what. No wait, for the love of god, please don't. And don't release a behind the scenes clip from this. I may never regain human form.
When the show won me over in episode 4, I thought; "well, at least they won't ever top that kiss in "What's wrong with Secretary Kim". This guy better stay out of bed and keep his shirt on. That crown belongs to Park Seo-Joon.
I hope this will get picked up by a fan subber. According to the synopsis I've read, when I looked for the manga, it's a romance/slice-of-life combo, and I'll always show up for a good slice-of-life series.
How episode 4 just took my emotions for a ride. Can we just pause and appreciate the hell out of that opening bedroom scene. Kazuma's lines. The lighting. The colors. The music. The vulnerability of Ren and the comfort he was given. I cried instantly and kept either crying or becoming teary-eyed for different reasons the rest of the episode. Beautifully done. I need cake. And a hug.

I wish they both got a different ending.
Minwoo was adorable.

The 4.000 bodyguards materializing at just the right moment in episode 4. ππ
