I almost dropped it. Didn’t get the hype but you have to be patient lol
tbh guys... i really wanted to like it but i dropped it again LOL ;___; it just wasn't my thing and the MC was not emoting enough for me ... also couldn't really get into any of the characters
this isn't to say others won't enjoy it though so for people reading this, give it a try for yourself anyway!!
Wow! Someone that actually admitted that SML and FL had a realistic great chemistry together more than the ML…
i didn't want to say it but.... yeah, i didn't like the main couple much even after so many eps LOL i think FL actually had too much chemistry with the SML that it overshadowed the ML
had high hopes for this because the fight scenes are awesome and it's got beautiful special effects but unfortunately i'm going to have to drop this... got to maybe episode 28 and then fast fowarded maybe the next 5 or so episodes
my personal gripes: 1. for a drama that started off with the FL kicking ass, she falls unconscious and has to be saved by the ML an inordinate amount of times 2. the amount of times they call each out each other's full names in just one episode can probably have me calling out xie xuechen in my dreams too 3. unfortunately i just don't feel any connection to any of the supporting characters; i think it's a combination of not so great acting and not building enough of a background for them 4. felt like the FL and ML fell in love wayyyyy too quickly, like i don't think FL even has a life outside of him anymore 5. plot drags on/moves too slowly
the main thing i really liked was SML but it's obvious he's not going to have a great ending lol but i liked his acting and thought he had great chemistry with FL
the first couple of eps were so deceiving, i thought it would be more a slapstick humour xianxia but little did i know that it was the most heart wrenching xianxia to ever exist
kudos to the entire cast and production crew for making me cry countless tears in 40 eps and especially to my girl bai lu!! she killed it in every scene and every time she cried i could feel her pain
kinda wishing bai lu and ao rui peng can be paired up in another drama again the future because they had unexpectedly crazy chemistry together
i'm going to miss all the characters :'( don't know how i can continue watching my other dramas when i'm still mourning the end of this one

hahaha that's so true, xianxia thrives on miscommunication and misunderstandings so i guess this why it makes this drama so different
and yess love the perfect height difference between them :') came into this without knowing what to expect since i've never watched any of his dramas before but they have unexpectedly amazing chemistry

that's literally one of the scenes i was thinking of!! it stuck out to me so much because i rarely see it in cdramas, and you could tell how comfortable they were with each other in that moment too
also love how much they hug in the drama haha both of them really sink into it and are comforted by it
one of the best parts of this drama is just the casual intimacy between the FL and ML, like you can tell how comfortable they are with each other
i've seen too many dramas where the leads get together and they're still acting like strangers with each other with the occasional pecks thrown in to show that they're a couple lol
edit: forgot to mention how refreshing it us to see little to no miscommunication!! both of them are so open with each other to prevent any misunderstandings and they trust each other so much
everyone who has committed major sins ends up dying in this drama :'( which sucks majorly because you've already started caring for these characters!! i don't even remember how many times i've cried over this drama
