I would have loved the last parts if the couple still had some romance and steamy scenes lol, but they started avoiding them as if they had grown old overnight.
Yes, the chemistry is awesome. It is the pillar and for me it is the downfall of this series as well. I was giddy to find such a gem and in the last third I was dozing off. The romantic tension dies down at that point. The show simply drags and drags.
IMO there was no need to show Yi Yang getting inspired and resuming his career when snooker was never really taken seriously in the whole show. Just showing few minutes of each game does not constitute a sports theme. Hell I had to consult wiki to understand the rules of the different types of games. The drama didn't even care to tell us that, nor any techniques were discussed nor the rigours of training for the sport.
I want to watch for Leo Wu and Wang Xi Yue but i hope its not to slow.
For me the later parts were very slow because majority of romantic tension had been settled a long time before the end. And frankly the show does not have any hard problems for the couple to solve, things just work out for them one after the other.
I loved the drama at first but I couldn't stand the ML actor so I gave up on it at ep 14. I had no problem with…
I did feel the strong chemistry but I do agree the ML is not very attractive. Regardless though, it was the length of the drama that made me lose patience. I dropped it at 28 haha, a first for me. Actually it just lost its charm after the ML got the championship.
Who do you consider the villains in this drama. There're a few in this drama, and if their objectives change they…
It does not matter as I said she did wakeup when the ML took her body to the wonderland. Essentially this plot device is completely compromised at that point.
You cannot just pick a series of plots from your imagination and apply it to the scene just to make it more believable for everybody. That's essentially changing the story. And I am discussing the actual story, not an imaginative probability.
Well. regardless, its apparent that you feel different about it. Lets agree to disagree.

I understand the reasoning behind his action but it was too weak of a plot for a man of such calibre. The whole coup was executed in an unbelievable way. How a team of 20 people in ragtag getups made it inside the throne room in broad daylight. Let alone that there were simply no guards posted around the area at all.
The villains didn't even have a powerful fighter at all that could pose a challenge to the ML in the first place. The fight was lacklustre and frankly didn't have that thrill factor at all as nobody was essentially in danger.
The whole episode of FL behaving like someone dead was also handled very badly. There was simply no reactions aside from that gaze after she got up from the casket.
Not including the ML in the scheme was also bizarre as he is essentially a top rated pretender in the drama.
As she did wake up in one instance before the penultimate scene it made even more bizarre sense of how she can behave like a corpse. She obviously does not take some medicine that hides her pulse to cause a near death state. The ML is a very meticulous investigator.
There was essentially no need nor benefit in her faking her death as after all nothing really happened between both points in the timeline. It did not encourage the villain to expose his hand either as it was already set in stone.
That's why I said its a forced plot device which ruined the overall vibe of the drama.

I am talking about the PM who wanted his daughter to marry the ML because she liked him and made a rational case for her to attain that position for him.
His action of actually staging a coup is diametrically opposite to his objective. He has also shown no tendency of actually replacing the king because he had no irreconcilable issue with him. He had no issue with the ML as well and had seen his genius and compatible personality.
He was a man with extreme proficiency towards politics and manoeuvring for his gains. He knew how to work the system and the King. He was also sincere towards the people.
But all that went down the drain when he engaged that tribe to stage the coup.
Currently am watching a 4k version of the drama and I just had to mention the level of cinematography is so high that I have rarely seen such quality picture in even the latest of dramas. Everybody looks so gorgeous in this drama.
But my opinion still stands that I don't really like the main couple.
Though I am upgrading the rating to 8 this time around just because of the high quality picture.
A must watch I must say, especially for the romance and the unique situation as well as the way they handle themselves.
The last plot though was very weak, I guess the original writer didn't write it. And someone else came up with that cliche. The execution was so low quality that it broke immersion. The ML, FL, even the villain parts were lacklustre. The change in the villain's objective was also completely weird and out of the blue.
Also it seemed this production wasn't very high budget so there was a serious lack of extras/CG, the armies had less than hundred people usually and the fight scenes were clearly bogus. I was really astonished when in one of the fight scenes, the soldiers were literally playing with swords, haha.
Well I couldn't coup with the last episodes and the overall struggle after the first watch, so I cut all the romance stuff to a single whole, 7.5 hours long. It is such a treat to see it every now and then without watching all that 40 hours of content!
If someone wants it, I can share, its 17GB big. Though do know, I didn't polish it with effects to smoothen the cuts, only used existing scenes to create transitions from night/day etc.
Plot holes galore, that's what the drama should have been named.
Each and every plot is accompanied by glaring holes and lacking any backstory, it is as if audience is considered starving retards lusting for entertainment, no matter how nonsensical it may seem.
Fortunately our world has an unending supply of great entertainment, so I recommend to look elsewhere. Unless of course you have that extraordinary girth to ignore the crumbling foundations and enjoy the utopia built on top.
